hi,the red led flashes when i command ALT+F2 but nothing happens.if i press ALT+F1 the dome turns round it flashes when i move the joy stick it zooms in/out and pans left/right the auto and manual focus works and the iris auto or manual works.there is no reason it is set to address 5. i will try address 1 and all switches on but i am sure i have done before. i will try it now and see what happens.thanks

Only the address switches to "all on" not the VCL setting switches leave them as they are.

What about keyboard settings??

Right then... the Vi-K keyboard is capable of 20 odd different protocol types and can have a different protocol type on each Domes-1 and Domes-2.

Sounds like you've just plugged in and it worked (or didn't).

Here's the instuctions for programming the keyboard correctly for your system (domes).

>>Setting Domes-1 to VCL

Hold Alt and press CONFIG "PSd"

Press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. "456"

Press OK *"C1.1"*

Press DOME Key

Press BACK Key

Type 0, 5.

Hold Alt and press CONFIG "Sto"

----

>>Setting Domes-2 to JVC

Hold Alt and press CONFIG "PSd"

Press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. "456"

Press OK *"C1.1"*

Press DOME Key

Press OK Key

Type 0, 2.

Hold Alt and press CONFIG "Sto"

----

>>Setting Domes-1 and Domes-2 to Camera Channels.

Hold Alt and press CONFIG "PSd"

Press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. "456"

Press OK *"C1.1"*

Press UNIT then press 1

Press Camera press 1 "C1.1", Press Back.

Press Camera press 2 "C2.1", Press OK.

Hold Alt and press CONFIG "Sto"

----

Set your VCL to Address 1 (terminated)

Set your JVC to address 2 (terminated)

Connect VCL to Domes-1

Connect JVC to Domes-2

Test and let me know how it goes.

Try high numbered presets, I know for instance that the KD6 dome uses preset 98 to toggle between col, col/mono and mono.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
