I have 5 zones but when trying to set the alarm, LED 6 illuminates as though Zone 6 has been left open and hence the alarm will not set. Any ideas?

Bought a veritas 8 November 2002 and had problems electrician came last week and advised it was transformer so we got a new one under guarantee. Problem is when we put new transformer in we think all the programming has gone and the engineer that programmed it before took the manual. Please help. Email sarah@skelton8994.fsnet.co.uk

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me. I have a vertias alarm control panel. The problem is that the power was cut and the alarm started to sound (Not really just continuous beeps inside) When the power was restored the beeps continuted until all dors windows etc were shut. Now however the system shows a red light on zone 1 flashing. This is the door and the connection looks okay ! It is not possible to set the alarm anymore and the BEEPS when you press the numbers is sounding different !!! Can anyone suggest anything to fix ? Thanks, Gaz

Hi We have a veritas 8c but no manual. We have 4 sensors in total, 3 downstairs and 1 upstairs. Is it possible to set the downstairs ones only? When we press "part" zones 5,6,7 & 8 flash red - does this mean anything? If anyone can help us it would be much appreciated! Thanks Ellie

Hi All, I have a Veritas R8. The previous owner has the delay entry set to the back door of the house. I want to change this so that I can come in my front door without waking up the neighbours. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi Guys. Can you help me, i have had a new front door fitted, i want to use surface contacts on the door. my problem is the frame is about 15mm lower than the door when closed.door closes on to the frame. so the contacts are not next to each other when the door is shut. Any suggestions to level the reed switch to the magnet?

I have a concept 6 alarm and do not have the user manual ( installd by previous owners and manual not passed to me). during recent building work the alarm was activated as the builder moved various alarm cables. I now have the tamper button lit on the panel and cannot seem to do anything with the alarm..set reset etc does not work how do i get the alarm working again What do I do??????? Thanks

Hi all Another query on my alarm, you all helped out a month or so ago when I couldn't get it going, which I now have, much appreciated. However, I have had a shed built and was wondering if I could run a sensor to the bottom of the garden (circa. 50 feet from the house) and rig a sensor up to the inside of the shed and perhaps just program it into one of the 'zones' on the alarm? What do you think??? I would want to have the sensor on at night when I was in, which would then set the alarm off if it was broken into at night. Any help/info would be great. Chris

hello, Can anyone help me? I've inherited a veritas 8c but no instruction manual, it's been working fine so far but I had to turn the electricity off for a couple of hours while i had a faulty socket replaced. When i turned the power back on, all the lights on the panel are lit up yet when i try to enter the code (or, indeed press any of the buttons), nothing happens. Ive no idea as to whether the alarm is working or not. does anyone know whats wrong/how to fix it or do i need the professionals? Thankyou! Natalie

Hi, We moved to a safe house with an alarm but we have a doberman who I believe will set off the alarm because he lives in the house with us because we have a stalker. So I dont set the alarm. I believe the stalker may have found the safe house and I cant afford to move again. I believe he came to the door in disguise (big hat pulled over his hair and dark glasses) when my daughter was home alone. This has had another trauma impact on her health. Have you any suggestions? I have told her not to answer the door when I am out. My bedroom is next to hers and the doberman sleeps either with me or her and my door is open so the dog can respond if necessary. I coul…

Anyone help? My citadel xr2 has become inoperable. The lights on the pad are active, however the power and day light are extinguished. I had a 3 hrs power cut the other day, could this error be due to a flat backup battery? The PIR lights saty lit if I flick the power off again, that about all the info I can offer. Thanks, andy.
