Hi all, I've just moved into a house with an Accenta alarm fitted by the previous occupant. Having finally figured out how to unlock the keypad (it was stuck on 'Attack' but that turned out to be because the remote keyswitch was turned) I've been trying to check everything works OK. I went through the test procedure shown in the manual and all the zones seem to respond correctly, the strobe and the sounder are fine. However, setting the alarm is proving a little tricky. Following the instructions, I enter the code and check that the system is clear, then exit via the front door. I then listen through the letterbox until the exit beep tone stops, which apparently means …

I have an monitored alarm and want to install ADSL broadband on the same line. For normal phone connections I will use microfilters for splitting the voice /DSL signals. I asked my alarm installer about requirements for the alarm itself and the alarm company advise that the digicom device I have will not share with broadband. The engineer said that the problem was with prioritisation of access to the line as the dialer grabs priority access even if the phone is being used. With broadband on the same physical line, he seemed pretty clear that a conflict would arise, and said an additional BT line was needed for the alarm. I have no red light on my concept 6 keypad but I do have one on my main box and all the sensors have lights which reaact when theres movement. What could be wrong ? do I need to change a fuse for the keypad or do I need a new keypad ? Help please!!!

The electricity supply to my parents' home is going to be turned off by the electricity suppliers for a few hours next week. Will the alarm sound? How can it be reset afterwards? Thank you.

I was in possession of the previous owners user code on my Optima XL4 alarm system, and using the operating instructions I changed the code. Everything seemed fine until I attempted to set the alarm and found that the new code I had entered did not work. I entered the old code and found that this also didn't work. I have tried several combinations around the new code in case I inadvertently pressed the wrong digit whilst changing the code - no success. Any suggestions please

I bought my house 5 yrs ago and now cant rember the alarm number if i switch it on it only makes a noise and wont let me do anything. I need to know how to reset this and give it a new number. I dont have book etc. Help please

Hi, Can anyone help please? Mother in Law's alarm is going off and she can't stop it with her code. Gardtec 500 series. Lives in Sutton Coldfield. Any advice please? - or contact from a recommended engineer who would cover the Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield area please? Hi, I have inherited a house with a Regalsafe RS64 control panel and 7 PIR detectors. A recent lightning strike has fried the CP and my installer is recommending replacement with Gardtec 593 panel for£350.- is this a good idea? I have a free roaming cat and installer also suggests replacing the PIR's with Eurosec V40DTPI 'pet friendly detectors' for £50 each. Expensive cat! Has anyone any experience of these units ? I sense the general view on pet friendlies is negative, but are there any viable alternatives. Thanks.

i have the 9600 and all the instruction manuals and have tryed the default code for the system and now luck is there a way to find out the code for this i will try to put the coumpany name on this later if any one can help thanks

Can anyone please help. My mothers alarm panel developed a fault. She has been told by the manufacturer that the only way to reset it is with the master code and they won't give her it. The engineer wants £75 plus vat. Is this legit? Is there a way round this? Thanks John W
