I was in possession of the previous owners user code on my Optima XL4 alarm system, and using the operating instructions I changed the code.

Everything seemed fine until I attempted to set the alarm and found that the new code I had entered did not work.

I entered the old code and found that this also didn't work.

I have tried several combinations around the new code in case I inadvertently pressed the wrong digit whilst changing the code - no success.

Any suggestions please

Contacted a local supplier who was very helpful - told me how to reset system to factory settings (0123) & have since changed code successfully.

Did he also tell you how to check the if programming was ok for your install or how to change it?
