Hi I am currently in the process of updating my electrical qualifications to BS7671 having been away from the trade for a good few years I expect to be made redundant in the near future and have decided to go self employed as an Electrician. During my time in the trade I did alarm installations on domestic builds and most customers were happy with a stand alone system. When I get my business up and running I would like to be able to install the Alarm System along with the Electrics either stand alone or monitored if the customer requests it. i just wounderd if any 1 can help with me few teething problems when i set the alarm and go out it starts beeping and sets but when i open the door is it ment 2 start beeping till i turn it off cus there is no noise at all and me need a bit of help programing the zones into the memory and sorting me entry and exit out it probably needs seting back up on the panel its amazing wot a few digits do its probably that old non of you will no the rest all works fine all help would be apriciated

i need full manual on the concept alarm if any one can help so i can set the exit and entry and 2 programe the zones 2 how i want them 2 work can any 1 help plz

My Optima alarm goes off when not set, and I have noticed that sometimes (not always) the alarm is being triggered by light switches/door bells being activated. The alarm is on the same ring as the cooker so turning it off from the mains is not possible. Can the alarm be disabled while a service is arranged? I have already had to Power Up reset to get a code that works, but would like to turn the thing off totally until such time as I get around to getting it serviced. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a Vista 4110 UXM alarm(with 6127 keypad) that the previous owners of the house had had fitted. Last night, at 2.45am a loud interrupted external siren began. I didn't recognise the sound and thought it was a neighbor's alarm but then a loud continuous familiar sound came from the keypad. My alarm was not even set, but I went down and put in the security code which stopped the noise from the keypad. I thought my alarm was sorted and the interrupted siren was the neighbour's! It went on for half an hour and then stopped. Just as I was falling asleep, half an hour later, it started again. I finally realised it was my alarm and kept tapping in my security code …

can any help my alarm went off for some reason and it seems the it had disabled the control panel.it has 3 lights on power,attack and tamper.but its not doin any thing else. phil

Hello, I am new to this forum. I moved into my home some years back and it has an old omnicom 2000 alarm panel. It has served me well over the years but now the external sounder keeps ringing in the unarmed (off state) and the strobe does not flash. Walk tests show that the zones are OK and the LEDs behave correctly. I have replaced the battery connected to the alarm panel but this has not helped. I replaced the sounder with a buzzer but this just kept buzzing, however at this time I did not remove the strobe output from the panel. Any suggestion from this forum would be helpful. I've seen similar references on the forums - but I'd be grateful of some advice Moved into a property with an //.National Installer.// badged alarm system. The manufacturer is Ademco Microtech and judging by the panel casing and the LCD Keypad I think its an Accord XPC. I inherited the user code from the previous occupant who had a monitoring contract with //.National Installer.//, which was terminated on the sale of the property. I had a guy from //.National Installer.// come round - but was less than impressed with the sales pitch and price so have not taken out a contract. I have a Scantronic system 9600 with two keypads. One is broken and my technician told me that it is not repairable, so i found one Scantronic keypad 9930. The seller told me that it is compatible. Can you please confirm and if it is necessary to make some modification to the system to connect 9930 or other suggestions? Thanks for your reply.

My alarm system is a 4 zone concept system ( this is what it says on the panel cover). It has a separate keypad and is approx 12 years old. Today I decided to add a panic button to the system however, when I came to wire it up to the panel there seems to be no P.A connection on the PCB Could anybody please inform me if there is another way of wiring the panic button up so it will work.
