January 21, 200620 yr comment_83828 I have Waited 3 weeks now for the silly begger who fitted my alarm 2 post me the """"engineers"""" code. I phoned hin today and he F##ked me off. I am getting very close 2 taking the bare bones of the system out and fitting a new one they are cheap as chip. January 21, 200620 yr comment_83840 Not at all mate lets say i give Joe public my engneer code to reset his accenta veritas etc. Then later that day he has a trip into town and see's a shop with one of my systems in and thinks no staf about i will just go into engineer mode and spare out some zones so my mate can come back tonight and take what he likes as the system is only part set. Who's insurance do you think the shop will be claming off for failure to perform? NOT YOURS. January 22, 200620 yr comment_83848 Right, this guy won't give you his engineer code because it is his property and it belongs to him... not you. Maybe if you asked him nicely to pop around and change it for you when he's in the area, rather than being a complete prat with him and loosing your temper.... you might get somewhere. If you have put a keypad on the wall then the tamper should reset with the user code, as this is how most systems are programmed. As regards the engineer code, 1st of all without the engineer manual the code isn't of use to you. If you have the engineer manual then you will know how to reset the panel to defaults and wouldn't need to come on here throwing a wobbler like a 2 year old. Neither the engineer code nor the engineer manual will be given to you one here from anyone. You obviously don't know what your doing with the alarm and that's why you've got into trouble with it, and throwing a paddy with your installer and comming on here being a pillock with people isn't going to get you very far. My suggestion is, if you really want to, take out the control panel and replace it, these systems you can buy from electrical wholesalers etc.... and yes you'll get the engineer manual. Veritas are pretty naff anyway and are aimed at people like yourself so you shouldn't have a problem with programming it. My other suggestion, don't bother comming on here again asking for help if you are going to be nothing but rude to people who you are asking for advise, as it will end up with you being granted a one way ticket to being banned from here and then you'll be left right in the sh1t. If you bothered to read the rules of the site it states quite clearly that engineer manuals, defaulting information and engineer code will not be given out, so don't get throwing a paddy because you either can't read, or have some kind of problem that makes you like to think that your above everyone else. To finish.... get a new panel, and grow up!!!!
