Trade Control Panels

i have a pa to replace on one of these panels, i assume that if i enter the engineer code i will be able to remove the old pa and install the new one? and then i assume i can use the report option to display that the device is working? also what is the best way to test the system? as the walk test will only allow you to test one zone at a time?

i was called out yesterday to a wireless shone ystem where the alarm was showing 4 zone faults. i put it down to the wireless reciever as it would be very unlikely for 4 zones to go faulty the same time. i changed the reciever, reprogrammed the detectors in and everything worked ok. when i got home i had a phonecall from the customer saying that the alarm had gone in to trouble mode and when he pressed * 2 it said GEN Syst supervision. can anyone give me advice as i have to go out today to sort out the problem. thanks Martin

Is there a reasonably good wireless system that does working pet immune sensors? I have a customer with about 5 mad cats in the house that wants a wireless alarm, I don't normally touch wireless kit (Did use a few Visonic wireless expanders for a different reason on a few jobs) so anybody like to recomend a cost effective system for a wireless domestic 3 PIR, 1 door grade 2 (Wireless bell as well I suppose). Honeywell looks the best kit but it's also damm expensive, is it worth it?

i am going to visit a customer this morning who wants strobe confirmation when his 350 is set. i cannot find an installation manual for this so does anyone know if this is possible? thanks in advance Martin

Hi All, I'm sure this has been covered elsewhere but I can't find it, we are taking over a Galaxy system installed by 'hex boxes inc', due to the size of the system I can't dis the old and get the new one up in one day, the installation company are dragging there heals over coming back to default it. The question is, can the galaxy panel, (not sure which one it is but presume 60, 500 or 512) have the engineer code defaulted to factory leaving the programming in tact and if so how. Hello chaps. had an unset test failed on a gardtec 595 today, any ideas what this is, i have never had it before and didn't have time to sort it. just like it sounds, after unset-ting, it displayed "unset-ting test failed" i think. I'm sure its something simple. lads

Just had someone phone us up with a Bosch wirefree alarm fitted by Everest, anyone worked with these before? Is it worth getting involved because we havent worked with these before. They probably paid something ridculous to have it installed, but if its like the British gas DSC ones having their own default engineer code it might be best to not get involved?! I asked her what model it was and she couldnt help just knew it was a Bosche wirefree which I think is part of DA. Any info would be great thanks, going to get my Dad to ring her back tomorrow!

Ello guys, excuse the probably mundane questions but we as a company haven't used any of the Eurosec stuff for a while and I could do with a few questions answered. I was unable to find the maunal for it on the manuals website has anyone got a copy I could have a squizz over too. This is a hybrid panel I take it, is that as standard or does the wireless capability need an addon expansion. Can I mix wired and wirefree sensors on the same system and out of interest how would they be zoned if it was possible. (1-8 wired, 9-xx wirefree?) Are the push button fobs capable or part setting as well? What do you rate the speech dialler like? How long's the stored message mes…

We have a job with a Menvier TS690 and upon exiting engineers mode it is displaying TA00( LED RKP) which according to the manual is a short on the ID Line. The panel is NOT an ID panel!!!! Any thoughts anyone??? PS Already tried defaulting and another NVM.

Got to quote a new wireless systems for a posh flat... and am thinking of using the Homelink 75 Is it any good? I ask as there seem to be a few grumbles about it in other topics.. and if it is, does the panel have a set of normal outputs for a standard (my own) bellbox, or do you have to use the 750r unit? we are about to fitt a M1000 for the 1st time any do's and dont's / wrong progg in book/ we are replacing ts900+ has 52 zones used (hence up grade )req extra zones will be adding ms nodes and hope to keep existing lecs and xnodes menvier say no issues but they would ??
