Trade Control Panels

Fitted one of these for the 1st time today and must admit that it seems a reasonable bit of kit. Have used Castle in the past, old 2000 series panels, but stopped using them when had a series of problems - new range seems quite impressive so have asked rep to visit to discuss the range. I have issues with panels that need all sorts of add-ons like digi-modem etc and I hated Pyronix panels with a vengeance but I've got an open mind after trying the mini. Anyone else got experiences with the new Castle range?

Clutching at straws here, can anyone please help with instructions on how to go about changing the engineer code on the above panel? I've got to do this tomorrow, help. magpye

Hi guys really need your help on this. Where due to take over 3 site's which are all chubb. The control panels are a Guardall PX500 (changing panel is not an option) Been told there is away around this by defaulting the controls. With out flashing the panel. Don't really want to lose this contract. Any help would be appreciated. If you want to PM me your welcome to Thanks Guys

I don't suppose anybody has any info on this "highly complex state-of-the-art" Alarm Panel? It would be interesting to see if the manual is a bit more than: 1, Turn key and leave 2, Enter and turn key... Any help appreciated

Anyone supply me any information concerning British Gas Intruder alarms such as what panels they are/have fitted and an engineer code if you know to any.? TIA Guys.

Hi All, In the past I've setup shunt groups on Prem 24's with no problem. easy peasy! I'm looking to spec a Prem 48, and need to shunt a set of detectors from a chubb lock. I'm getting a bit confused reading the manual. So far I have figured out I need the shunt lock as a "latch key" zone with attributes "Instant set" but how do I setup the Zones to be shunted? Am I missing something?

I posted in public awile back there is new version pcb & software to overcome issues posted in the same thread. All tickety-boo, or so I thought. If you got 9651EN (dunno abt uk) software v 5.00.11 (latest) and you use fsl then global tamper is ignored by panel. Fair do's, if you don't use. Fair do's I should of noticed earlier except we only use it for spkr tamp & that aint on our commissioning sheets. Ok, can use spare zone progged 24hr (now I know), though with only 8 zones max.............. Guess we need to change yet more bleedin forms.

the black opel used for gjd lighting controllers i know , but what is the model of the red plastic opal that you have to programe at the sensor mainly used on cctv ,, need to make to zones chime only and the black opel dont work ???

What do people do when going to service a system to find that the Manager Code is not available to grant Engineer Access, with a reason from here, he's on holiday, out to lunch, not in today, we have not got a Code (er, yes they have) etc ?

Hi, Normally dont really get envloved in intruder work apart from the two brands i ever deal with for mates houses ect. A friend has a TS400 panel and whoever has programmed the system has done it badly. Entry \ exit time at 2 miniutes and various other programming funnies!?! The default engineering code has been changed is there any way to fully default the panel and start again? Many Thanks,

Is there a device that will increase the no. of user codes on an alarm panel. Initially I thought of changing the panel (customer doesn't like price) or to try the simple set reader... Probably not, but i'd thought i'd ask....
