What do you prefer for ease of use, instillation and build quality, Veritas or Accenta G4 and what would you rather install? Also, has the Logic 6 been discontinued? I can't seem to find one of them, or a simple set reader anymore. Seems a bit weird, I would have thought that they were two very popular products.

Bloody customers, We sent a request to a site main contact asking to update / confirm their keyholder list via the secure area of our website. This morning we get an email from the main contact copying in ALL users on their email with their arc password and their alarm PIN! Knowing most customers this will also be the PIN for all their credit & debit cards. Is it really so hard to follow simple instructions on an email?

I have a ADE Gen4 alarm with a Honeywell AG6 sounder & strobe. (Self installed)The other night while in the house the AG6 sounded. Inputting the 4 digit code didn't stop it. I ended up removing the fuse from the electrical supply and removing the battery.Four hours later (midnight) (no electrical supply or battery connected) it started again so I removed the wires from the AG6 into the Gen4. This didn't stop the sound (it stopped and started every few minutes and sounded like a crackling noise) so I ended up climbing up a ladder and removing the box from the wall. The box is now in the house so has been disconnected for over ten hours, but LED 2 is still lit.Talking to…

Attempting to upgrade my old alarm system. Can anyone please advise? Fitting a new Gardtex RISC 490X control panel. I need to wire my old Vipers wiring in order for the power source to be ceased when I need to reset the viper. How can I wire the old vipers in the control box? Thanks.

Would this assembly work? I want my intentions scrutinised by the pro's before I carry out any installation. Apollo 65 Smoke detector wired to Galaxy G2 complete with resistors, Zone programmed as Fire then equally an output (1001) programmed as Fire with a internal sounder wired into it (I use Pyronix Twin Alert) . Smoke present.... Panel sees a fire activation so my sounder (in theory) will alert myself/the occupants? Do you gents recommend any particular type of SD detector? Just using Apollo as an example. Thank you

Had a look at my neighbours alarm for her tonight, she claimed one day it just started going off (External sounder). Eventually she got her hubby to take the POS off the sounder. I came round this evening to find the keypad in lockout because of a present tamper on the system. I've linked out the global tamper and also the bell tamper and still the system see's tamper. Battery was even changed for a new unit, so a flat battery is discounted. The only thing I haven't done is linked out the remote keypad tamper.. All fuses (bell, battery,AUX) are okay. All lids on correctly. Also tried power down... Look like the A…

Has anyone recently removed a CQR style bell box, or just the cover? I was just curious, because I have a CQR box with 4 vents either side of the box, however, it is the polypropylene version that turns grey, flaky and is bulging at the sides. Looks a bit like this: https://burglaralarmbritain.wordpress.com/2016/02/27/intruder-alarm-wells-2015/ If anyone has a cover which is still in good shape and doesn't mind parting with it, could you send me it? I'd pay for postage... of course. I have the back plate, just not a nice cover. It could be any colour, I don't mind, and after all, beggers cannot be choosers! Preferably one of the polycarbonate ones, like ths: https://burg…

I'm replacing this panel with a galaxy soon, but I was just wondering who makes it and if it was any good? Putting the make and model number in on the Internet doesn't seem to give me any information on it. Thanks

Hello, I have an application, a parking space, where i need to detect fire and to sound an outdoor alarm, some indoor sirens and to start the fans of the ventilation system. My addressable fire panel has the following 5 types of outputs: 1. One FIRE ALARM OUTPUT - Non-Supervised: 2. One NAC FIRE ALARM OUTPUT - Supervised 3. Eight Programmable—Supervised ALARM Outputs 4. Eight Programmable—NON Supervised ALARM Outputs 5. Three NAC Supervised Outputs. I found that there is another possibility, 6. to use an I/O Module which i can wire in my loop. I just started in this field, i don't know which type of outputs should i use for my devices (outdoor siren, indoor…

Hi, I need help wiring a Novagard 2 bell box to an ADE Accenta G3 alarm panel. The sounder only goes for two seconds on power up, before stopping. The LEDs flash normally, however, there is a constant tamper on the panel too, is this some sort of test mode that the bell box is in? Am I missing something? I am guessing it isn't meant to do this. If it is a test mode, how do I get out of it? I tried powering it up just with the hold off connected to a 12v power supply, and the same thing happened, so it isn't the panel. I also tried using the negative trigger, on the 12v power supply, and the exact same thin happened. I hope I don't sound too dumb for asking thi…

Hi guys I've been installing Ip cameras for a while now and all been connected thru Adpro without any problem. But this time what it is all seems to be working fine apart from that twice a day some of the cameras got no video for 3-4 seconds. Switches I'm using are trendnet 80h with poe. All 8 port switches but maximum 5 cameras in one switch. Does anyone come across of that before? Cables tested, cameras tested, switches tested.
