We recently changed telephone/broadband service from BT to Talktalk, I would urgently advise any Security company to read all the thousands of adverse comments on the web by searching on 'talktalk complaints' We did not,and the effect on our business was serious, without our mobile phones we would have had real problems. I ADVISE ANY PERSON THINKING OF CHANGING TO TALKTALK TO READ THE COMMENTS AND ONLY THEN DECIDE!!!! Binthere

I need help trying to understand our friends from Brussels (don't we all, 5 digit codes ) I really don't understand the logic in the actions of Brussels with regard to Microsoft. Microsoft has been told they can't sell Vista in the EU which has Microsoft Media Player bundled with it as they claim they are affecting Realplayer. They have also been told that the Internet Explorer can't have Windows Live Search as default. Lastly they have been ordered to disclose their code so other manufacturers can provide software for it. There is some other row concerning the ability to print files in pdf format which will upset Adobe. Don't quote me on this but I think they were o…

So he was brought to ground after a car chase and climbed onto the roof of a house, throwing bricks off the chimney onto police and passers-by below. Police with dogs, several transit vans and patrol cars surrounded the house whilst neighbours were forced to abandon the area. How did the police pursue the matter? They brought in a fire engine with ladder to supply him with a KFC chicken bucket and a can of Pepsi - he rejected the can of Pepsi so they brought him a litre bottle instead ... apparantly they were protecting his human rights! Honestly you couldn't make it up could you? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml.../07/ixnews.html

Lots of people on this forum are slating these (solar) Response wireless alarms. I have been installing them for years now (as well as wired systems) and have NEVER had an actual problem with them. A couple of settings have needed to be changed or removed, such as disabling the jamming detection and occasionally adjusting the tamper switch on the siren. but once this is done then no problems have occured since. (seriously not one comeback!) I was wondering what stories you guys have on installing/using these systems, just to get a view of why people think theyre a bad alarm. (other than the fact they are supposed to be DIY and therefore not ideal for an engineer) educ…
