What's the strangest story about losing tools then finding them years later you know? I "lost" my 500 watt floodlight years ago, recently I worked on site and saw a guy using it, he used to work in a care home that I maintained the fire alarm in and "found it" after one of my visits. He then returned several hand tools that I left there as well, strange thing was I saw him every other month and he never returned any of it untill I caught him. I let him keep the floodlight, what a soft fool I am.

Have you had any problems with the new postal rules? I have noticed since they started that brown envelopes now take longer to arrive than white ones. I have a remote engineer, and I send him various items in the post, usually in A5 envelopes but sometimes in DL size. Since the new rules on sizes and weights have come in I noticed that the A5 envelopes were taking 3 days instead of 1 day so I have switched to white A5 and they get there faster. ag

Being on call Christmas eve t'ill 8:30AM Christmas day, and now with work as normal starting in the morning, this seems to have been a very quick Christmas break for me this year. And I imagine quite a few here as being in the same situation as myself. But I'm starting the new year with a whole week off work.. so there is light at the end of the tunnel.. Also my callout rote changes for the better from it's current 1 in 6 covering a massive area (over 1000 sq miles), to a more manageable 1 in 3 covering just 3 local areas (100 sq miles).. Im looking forward to 2007, it can't be as hectic as last year.

I am sure we all have come across companies/individuals whose only intent is to get get work done, dispute the work and then move on the to the next comany down the list and start all over again. Is there anywhere on the site that deals with these issues ?
