I have a Visonic kit (panel + sensors), I had an ADT subscription. I terminated the contract with ADT I tried to "reset" the panel and fit it to my needs. I sadly found it isn't. Although I can do a reset (green light = success?), I cannot log into the panel, either via USB port or AlarmInstall app. I would just to know if it possible to default (reset) this panel to use without paying ADT a fee, or it's simply impossible.

In preparation for my renovation, I detached the garage door contact sensor and the magnet, which as expected, caused a tamper alarm. The sensor has been put back together and my hope was, I'd bind the two together until the work is done in that area but what I'm finding is the control panel shows a tamper alert when the magnet is brought into proximity with the sensor. No fault is there when they are separated. What might be the issue? Here's what the sensor looks like inside.

I'm a retired engineer and have installed and upgraded my own alarms for decades. But this panel is challenging. Part set B button displays same title as part set C even though B has its own in installer mode. Hoping not to have to do a factory reset. Any ideas ? Cheers

In short; The 375 Smoke Protect System requires primary and secondary triggers. Both must be external 12v to trigger the smoke generation. I've taken the primary 12v from the bellbox (bell) trigger. The secondary should be from a PIR to detect motion in the room the smoke system is installed in before activating. I've attached manuals to both systems. Please note that OPT3-4 is not available on this system. I need to trigger the secondary on 375 smoke protect with 12v coming from the PIRs however the pirs I have are resistance based and do not output 12v on alarm/trigger. What can I do? I’ve fitted a new Eaton branded Scantronic 9448+ wired panel that a customer supplied to replace the same old one that was 20+ years in service I’ve found the outdoor siren isn’t working at all and wondered if I can use any brand of wired siren or would this panel only work with selected compatible models?

Hi. My new phone line is voip so my visonic can't call me if it goes off. I found a gsm module on ebay, but the seller says that as my alarm is v.old, adding the module could damage the unit due to the power down. I asked an installer too and he just say "at your own risk" 1/ Is there much risk of damaging the whole setup? 2/ Is there a gizmo out there which can connect to the visonic phoneline output and turn it into gsm? Thanks

Right, as I am new here I am taking orders at the bar! Mine's a pint of Amstel! Now that's out of the way, today I replaced my old Accenta Gen4 with a Scantronic 9651 panel and 9941 pad. All of the wiring transferred across with no problems and the system works fine. Walk tests, output tests and global tampers are all ok. The problem is on pressing 99 tick, to exit engineering I get a 'checking bus' message that last for 20-30 seconds then it asks again if I want to exit engineering, on pressing tick I get another checking message and then it goes to day mode. I know there is a problem in that the strobe doesn't work on the bell box and I will be replacing the bell box w…

Does anyone know how to test one of these? It’s brand new with a working SIM card from a previously same model but the SIM card holder was broken I’ve powered it up and it’s got mobile signal with a slow flashing red led and I’ve connected a 12V pc case fan into the following for testing the relay: COM: Black negative wire to fan NC: Red positive wire to fan This was my thinking to prove that it can work with the existing magnetic gate I have the instructions which I will attach on here. It just doesn’t seem to respond to a request to turn the relay on so I think I need fo add my number as the authorised number or make it respond to any number using the r…

Hi, I have a Pyronix Enforcer v10 which is possibly playing up and while I look for a company to maintain it, I would like to turn off the external bell box/siren (wireless) to stop it sounding. Is this possible and how could I achieve this from the panel? I have access to the panel + engineer's menu. Thanks

Hi, What is the most reliable, commonly installed hybrid panel (approx 8 wired and 6 wireless zones) that has smart control via a phone app? I’m replacing a 9751, with a new panel and delta bell and would appreciate panel recommendations. The alarm should notify via the app when it goes off and can be reset or armed and disarmed via the phone. What is the most recommended panel currently?

I have a Rapid 28 cable stapler/tacker and have always used standard staples, however I'd like some stainless steel staples for a job, does anyone know where I may obtain some please? Thanks in advance for any useful information. Picture for attention ? (Before you ask, yes I paint all my tools with pink paint! Makes them quick to recover on building sites etc.. My cheap version of SmartWater)

I'm trying to connect a new Scantronic 9448+ control panel to a remote 9427 control pad. I have installed a loop on the anti-tamper connections but the pad permanently lights its anti-tamper indicator and won't arm. I've connected a single magnetic door switch to the EE entry/exit connectors (it's for an outbuilding with a single door). I haven't connected a strobe/siren box or any backup batteries at all yet. There are 4 connections between the control box and the remote pad : 12V to 12V 0V to 0V DATA to DATA CLK to CLK (Even I couldn't get these wrong!) After powering it up I can silence the internal sounder by entering the defau…

I've decided to run with a new Texecom intruder alarm system, however I have a few questions. My father in law has asked Texecom, but they're a bit casual on getting back to us. Is anyone here familiar with their kit please? My questions are red in the table below.... Can I assume the two following panels are the same except for the case? Texecom Premier Elite 24 Control Panel Metal CAA-0004 Texecom Premier Elite 24 Control Panel (Plastic?) CAA-0026 Can I assume the following item is correct for the above panels …

HI Are there any modern systems that are compatible with the sensors keypad etc on the above alarm? After replacing the back up battery , blown fuse and the keypad I got an error code 80474. The company that installed it/converted it from an ADT system (fitted to all the houses on the estate when built in 2000) are unable to access any engineer codes and have written off the system as old and obsolete. The Mrs wants to keep the keypad in the hall downstairs as its behind a custom panel.(picture attached) I'm looking for sugestions to replace the control board with a more modern system but keep the motion sensors …
