  1. Agreed it was pos return, and pos trigger iirc
  2. Any external sounder will do, the Bentley is quite old so before replacing the external sounder I would check that its not a fault with the panel bell output
  3. Fermax also have a universal handset although I couldnt say if that handset is on the compatibility list but the fermax is on Entryphones https://www.entryphone.co.uk/pdf/phones.pdf
  4. Just trying to cheer him up a bit
  5. Hi and welcome back I bit the bullet 18 years ago now, dont worry youll soon get used to the stress once you hit the bottle, then there are some really good charities out there like the SAMS, and the weekly Alcoholic anonymous meetings really help. Just try to keep in mind that suicide is not really the answer (I find if I keep telling myself that I almost start to believe it).
  6. I think its his grammar
  7. I think he moved in about 4yrs not he had the alarm installed about 4 yrs
  8. LOL! I new it worked with Blink but I was unable to get it to work with Dahua, Im pleased with the work around
  9. Ive just added my Dahua CCTV to the alexa show using the imou app. Alexa Who's at the front door?
  10. Also check that all handsets are seated correctly, feedback is often caused if someone hasnt replaced their handset properly
  11. I expected the bell to sound, but it seems that it did. but you omitted to tell us
  12. PIR wont really see through glass but if the sun is glaring in and its suddenly shadowed who knows, they are unlikely to be activated by white light though most passives have white light filter lenses
  13. But what should have happened when he removed the bell fuse?
  14. But if your bell fuse is blown your bell should have sounded for 20 mins when it blew
  15. Looks the best location fo both rooms if its wireless you could swap it with another detector if the fault follows the detector then replace it, if the fault reoccurs in the lounge then its something environmental that your missing, I see nothing in that plan (unless you missed out some helium balloons from a recent party) that would cause fa's
  16. If he cut through the tamper wire before blowing the fuse then it should have
  17. QFA Dual-techs are designed for specific environments, and usually have a cheaper pir in them. People think because of the name and they cost more they are better, but in a small room like lounge they are worse than a cheap pir. Upping the pulse count only hides the problem and lowers your security. You need to find what causing it. If the detector is old change it for a quad element like an Optex RX
  18. How did you stop it from sounding in the first place if you chopped the keypad wires? If it never sounded my best guess would be its probably not the keypad fuse, its fried the CPU
  19. They are renamed as Eaton Im no expert on their panels, but I think the Ion is their offering
  20. You dont have to have wireless the panels are hybrid so you have hard wired and you can add on wireless stuff as you see the need I wasnt going to say anything but the 95 was horrid
