  1. This subject has got me thinking, I have one of those big square plastic tanks installed under the decking in the garden, its filled from rain water off the roof of the garage. We use it for watering the plants at the bottom of the garden using a hose and gravity. The problem is its quite a long way and the pressure is quite low, also the tank fills very quickly over the winter and I could do with filling some more water butts at the bottom of the garden by the greenhouse, I was thinking I could use a submersible pump like they use in caravan showers and stuff and switch it on and off via a sonoff relay. and another one that turns on when the tank is full to fill the two butts at the bottom of the garden .
  2. No you have to wait till the music stops
  3. I did think it was out of character Dave I checked your IP just to be sure that noone had hacked your account
  4. Did you change anything other than the bell? I would start by removing the strobe and bell (yellow and white wires) then see if arming still blows the fuse then put them back one at a time to see whats causing the problem. My money is on strobe
  5. He started it ^
  6. I would use third party to arm but not disarm "Alexa set the alarm"
  7. I also use HKC and it is connected to my lights for alarm activation, curtousy, and to make sure all the lights are off when its armed, but I am using 433 for that. There are panels out there that do talk with various hubs but as James says I dont believe they are compliant. The Polish Satel Integra panel does have some integration but again I am unsure on its compliance Agreed if you need dual path for insurance you cant diy it
  8. I could have purchased them branded, but seriously I couldn't retail them . They will put a brand name on anything over there
  9. They didnt say Hik on them they just had Hik firmware, but that was were the similarity ended, they acted like Hik, the settings were exactly the same. Everything thought it was a Hik camera (I was using our own Elise recorders) but Hik recorders thought they were genuine too. They were in standard eyeball camera housing with Sony Davinci CMos chips. The ones that worked, worked well but we had a high failure rate, and to return them China wanted import duty which made it expensive to get them fixed, the supplier did send free replacements but the QC was shite. I just used them as dummy cameras now for existing and new customers
  10. Pool is looking a lot lighter green than it normally does when I open it, it did look black when I first opened it as usual , but it seemed to have cleared a lot quicker than usual. Beer o clock now, I might fire up the barbi for dinner
  11. They all do, that said I have heard (on a fb security forum) that people are installing the Hik cameras with speaker's and strobes at camping sites in France, though I couldn't tell you the model number. There will be some distributors in the UK with them probably but distributors have to buy by the boatload in order to compete with each other and Amazon and Ebay. I can get Chinese knockoff Hik cameras before some of the UK suppliers get the real thing most of the time. Not that I would buy them ever again.

  17. I used to have a pony tail, one year I was photographed for adverts in the yellow pages for two different alarm companies, up a ladder for WSS and on steps for an-other co. The funny part was they were on opposite pages, it made it look like I was a model for YP ads
