I guess this is a bespoke thing, but if it is possible to find anywhere from the shelf to buy where could I get an extended "L" for maglocks? I need it for external use maglocks. In worst-case scenarios, I would drill myself the holes to match.

Evening all, can anyone offer any solution to the access control door picture attached? Currently having to use 3 armature plates to pack the magnet out to meet the lock, wondering if anyone has encountered this and if there’s anything on the market to assist? TIA

Good morning, I've assembled the parts of the Galaxy Flex 20 I got the day before yesterday and am having trouble with the keypad. When powering up the system, it beeps and shows a bunch of "*****" on the lcd. I've connected the keypad to the PCB using Cat5, to the green terminal block on the right hand side of the PCB, with single strands to each terminal and I've put a 680Ohm resistor on the AB terminals of the keypad ( (please see attached picture) I've used a multi meter to double check the wires are OK. Voltage on the keypad between + and - is 13V. The keypad address initially I set to B, and then learned only 0-7 are allowed, so I put it ba…

I have an Accenta g4 mini here. It is allegedly brand new but the default ##REMOVED## code will not work. I’ve defaulted it however can’t get the engineers code to crash no matter what. As far as I’m aware the codes can’t be locked on these, but any help is greatly appreciated Tia jay

Hello all Hope you’re doing well. My first time on the forum. Finally bought a house after nearly two decades of dreaming. I know I’ll be on here often as I’m very security conscious. Happy to be here and hope to contribute to the community! At the moment, I need your help trying to decide between 3 different wireless intruder alarm quotes. The property is a London home, around 1,100 sqft with hallway, lounge, dining room and kitchen on ground floor. Upstairs there’s a landing and 3 bedrooms. No pets. All 3 proposed systems are wireless and meet Grade 2 requirements (not an insurance requirement - just trying to future proof…

Hi all. Bit of a shot in the dark but does anyone here, even ex Chubb engineers, know anything about these S5 alarms? Specifically what internal sounders they used?? It's baffled me as they seem awfully cool but can't find any info online. Pic is attached TIA AG 🙂

Morning all on here. I think i've put something on before however I'll try again. Does anyone have any sort of assistance for a JSB Regalsafe RS125? I collect old alarms and it's just sitting here useless as I cannot access it with any codes at all. I understand that manuals can't be passed around however the panel is well out of date - if it doesn't get fixed it'll be getting tossed in the coming days so any support is hugely appreciated. Many thanks AG

Hey, Need to think of the wiring logic for the automatic opening mechanism door with a maglock to be released in a fire event from the Gallagher panel. A few spare puzzle pieces are available in my brain: I want to avoid using additional relays and hanging on the cables in an already tiny panel. Usually, the door opening mechanism is controlled with 24v and recommended to be controlled with dry contacts, but would I be able to use a common ground in some way? Gallagher fire interface relay / DC distributor has some other ways to be wired in, I wonder if this can be employed to achieve this function? I may sacrifice additio…

I have been able to obtain a users manual however, it does not provide any detailed information on this. Someone, somewhere in the world must have this knowledge......

One of my guys put his multimeter on the battery terminals during testing, unfortunately had his lead still in the 10A side!!!! This caused the loop to go down and giving no voltage reading on the B side and a high 34+ reading on the A side. with some missing devices and loop integrity fault. The PCB was replaced (Hochiki protocol) early this morning however now with higher voltage reading on both sides (A&B) no missing devices reported but the system still bringing up a loop integrity fault... I just want to check whether this is a case of a device has popped on the loop causing the integrity fault? I did not have any access to all detection areas to…
