  1. You see, your not just a dodgy looking website after all
  2. No time to waste just get better gear with varifocal lenses so you can adjust as needed
  3. Complete kit might not include cables to that distance unless your getting premade cables of a long length and have worked that one out Are they all varifocal cameras ? Otherwise fixed lens won't give you a close up of the car , although 5mp on zoom is quite good evening when playing back
  4. Dahua is not bad brand , but if you run into problems what will you?
  5. What you mean simple solid alarm? So insurer has insisted? You have an alarm ? Then did they give a spec? Why not get an alarm company in? Ask them , you will have to get quotes from them to meet whatever insurance spec you have been given and won't make difference what anyone says here
  6. At this stage I think if cost is an issue your stuck dude , stick to a supplier here , your going to need more than £400 , and never heard of Andy dandy lol sorry
  7. Forget that total waste of time Annke Swamn Maplins.... Screwfix.... All will give you trouble , at least with hikvision it's based around the pro-diy gear and now they have DIY gear , I say that because that's what there game plan was before But it's still worth getting it fitted just to remind you of that lol
  8. Where you mount the car camera you may need two One giving a wide view and another giving a close up
  9. Also I was pretty sure the hik7204 etc is all hiwatch, you can only buy the DIY range of hiking that's what there selling you and it will do the job
  10. You have hiwatch above in your list, it's DIY for hikvision now
  11. I reckon tamper circuit has a fault hence bypassed instead fixed All this flaffing around and going in circles what's the point? Get services or fixed.or DIY it which looks as if it's been down that route with tamper bridged
  12. Why recommission? Have you mashed it up ? Average £60-80 service doesn't include parts ypu supply your own parts and it fails then you pay labour again Commission minimum £250+ and it's not there problem if system is mashed up Fault finding £35 first hour? On top of all of that Good guess ?
  13. I kind of get it I think , although alley way , building is high enough to mount a camera which isn't to easy to get to , few spikes under it will help
  14. So what's distance from nearest camera point to where car is parked , I assume distance becomes shorter? Maybe do an overhead drawing By the way if your going DIY hiwatch is probably the equipment you may want to use , but with a full size recorder not the little square box in some kits , they are hybrid versions so you can fit diff cams to them depending on what you need Shame you don't have budget £2500 ? Do it once get contractor in? Your far from Manchester ? I sure someone near you can give you a quote less hassle for you but whatever DIY it if you have to
  15. Ok so next thing is to work out what lens you need on the camera to zoom from your house to the 50m mark and work out the size you need at that distance A good bullet with zoom lens would do it I am guessing something with 22x motorised zoom will do it but bullet with long range leds You boss going to give him some DIY advice or what , shall I keep blagging my way through
  16. What do you install there?
