I recall having a massive ball ache trying to get an ata converter working... Either be much cleverer than me, or better still have tame IT muppet who know what he's doing... Today's massive ballache was having to drill an 801 lock off the fire controls either my key broke it, the lock was broken or it have been changed from 801 by the last people to touch it ?
  2. Is that battery dated ? If so why would you have to move the battery it to see the date ? Those alarm cables marked? Why have you got main & low voltage shoved though the same ungrommeted hole ? Why is there no stress relief for the mains If you wish to post an example of your specification that's when the proper fun starts...
  3. I like the square i-ion keypad & massive endsation But won't be moving towards them.
  4. I had hiwatch camera on port 85 on the bench the other week & knew my work router to house router was working on port 85 in the past it appears the controls do not take up the software changes until power cycled or a code in entered on the psychical keypad however the downloading software still won't load on the intended win8 machine, the same file loads on my lenovo & acer laptops there all 64 bit machines....
  5. should you change the banner text- download it into the controls, the old banner is displayed until the user code is entered, odd...
  6. the software is bit a flakey, default port no. for downloader is 55132 I changed it to 85 & it worked I changed it to 6969 no worky 88 no worky, back to 85 & it works I know the board is from a skip, by I think the software may belong in one too

  14. watched the latest 2 then binge watched from the beginning , just finished watching - "Spring has arrived at Harry's Farm and the wheat fields look a mess" so now all upto date he's can't be short of £ if he's got a patek philippe watch, which is being worn at "work"
  15. Harry's farm £1.7 kto have the combine serviced before harvest £500- 1k for the belt that broke during haverst 9 knifes needed replacing the wobble thing got fucked as well... should a cow, sheep or alpaca drop dead on the farm, its 50 notes to pay for the hunt to get rid of the body when your gate & posts is taken out by a motor car, the police or the recovery people won't tell the driver details due to GDPR to allow you to claim of your insurance £8k for 2nd hand straw do dar.. & grain sells for £350 a ton, suddenly being an alarm monkey looks well paid
  16. Need to get working software / machine But have gone off on a tangent doing other projects. I've also been out on the tools doing bits- Today I nailed an enforcer contact onto this door- its right draughty, they should save up & get a nice uPVC one...

  19. as I under stand it, changing the programming has no effect there just options ? the devices have a site code & a zone select on the dil switches changes these takes it off the system, its dumb & the field devices are unsupervised ? the panel will either reset off your code or need power cycle unless an alarm man has been & poked with a screwdriver recently it unlikely that it been working properly for 25yr, even though you might set it every day & it never false alarms...
