Please read the Do's and Don'ts marked in red if you cant be bothered with these rules we wont be bothered to vet you. Currently as a standard member you can only see/view about 50% of the forums in our community, the rest is only view-able upon being given Trade access which is not granted to every member that applies. We try to do the best to vet each new applicant to try and ensure they are actually in the trade, so firstly if you object to this please do not apply, secondly you should appreciate that this process takes time, so don't apply if your not prepared to wait (up to a few weeks sometimes) for approval. We vet active members 1st so get posting to jump…

The alarm system is a Honeywell Galaxy Dimension 48. It has three RIO boxes connected to 23 sensors, 16 sensors, and 8 sensors - total 47. The sensors and the cables to the RIO boxes have been installed and connected. What is a reasonable amount of time for an experienced engineer to setup/commission the system using the laptop application? I would have thought 2-3 hours. Is that reasonable? Why might it take much longer?

Or not be tradespeople. Millennials, gen Z workers and other younger people who work as plumbers, electricians, and in other trades need to take the risk of asbestos much more seriously. That’s the message from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). The workplace regulator is launching a new campaign to raise awareness of the risks associated with the dangerous substance. Are we going back to 'you need a degree' All this isnt helpful the current genZ are scared enough of actual work, as it is. Im thinking we should have a work thing rather than an oh i cant, this isnt my thing, have you checked you can say this, etc etc ffs

Hi, After listening this AV show podcast https://www.avshoptalk.com/episode12/ I wonder if Security professionals in regions gathering regularly for a pint and chat? Or if no then maybe someone will step in and organise one? Or I'm silly and security pros would never meet together to prevent that massive fight to be published in the newspapers? ;))
