  1. Very close, I see if the training academy pictures are still on line
  2. I have a factory, they bounced my expensive controls with radial cards & put a plaggy c-tec + vesda cause it had to be BAFE, but retained my signalling. I ceased it 4 yrs ago & its never go back on signalling....
  3. @tinnitus ask the client whether they a want exclusive signalling which conforms to 5839 should they wince offer shared signalling, but arse cover do your signalling if you do not maintain the fire alarm
  4. As with any policy, the wording is rather important, you may think you you have the correct items in place. Should you wish to make a claim, you may hit a snag... I was trying to imply... I can think on no reason on earth why I'd use 'em Your best bet is buy your preferred board & **** about with it on the bench & work out want it can & can't do, if don't work out ebay it Any half decent alarm has outputs & zone programmable as key switches
  5. Your intending to use uncommon & probably ungraded equipment, Verbally confirmed by a call centre & is quite different from confirmed in writing The UK is currently in the middle of social distancing, which one of the many reason I wouldn't touch 'em with a barge pole You gonn have to bodge something together if you want something to work with a $129 US DIY type of thing ?
  6. The main beef is the intruder alarm does not meet with the standby times required in 5839 If you want to share signalling & everything is documented its fine IMHO (dependant on the site)
  7. @logan your skip fodder arrived today, many thanks
  8. I have a green watering can for water & a red watering can for weed killer...

  11. @PeterJames since its a bankholiday I thought I might do a helpful post, you know, mix it up a bit
  12. stb on the alarm panel is 0v applied when the alarm tell the strobe to flash green in stb white in b+
  13. you've wired the strobe wrong...
  14. edgy... has your inspectorate published a guide for app's / linking to automation
  15. I think the OP work looks better with the lid on...
  16. a couple of things things leap out & assuming you in the UK (c) if your insurance requires dual path signalling, normal practice is NSI/ SSAIB installer, proper graded signalling to a NSI / SSAIB ARC, their is often a requirement for a Police URN This is different from Home automation shite (a) & an unapproved ARC in North Yorkshire (b) ?
  17. TSI takes the piss at every opportunity....
  18. time for an upgrade- & his shed looks better wired than yours
  19. Your Scottish, put plenty of ambre solaire on your sporran...
  20. From past experience I'd expect pricing within a month of model no. & the item by the time it takes slow boat to arrive from china. However, its rather different circumstances at the moment... Even when stock is meant to be the country ordering & taking delivery are 2 different thing's
  21. you want to buy something they can't price & your asking people unconnected with the supply chain to predict when you might be able to get it ? Well I'll give it a go- normally I'd expect a container ship from china to take a month to get to the UK, however some stock is flown in. Let say 5-6 weeks from when they can offer a price? Pandemic, lots of people are working from home trying to contact someone else working from home.... if you have already have 8mp IP camera's in the warehouse, how much effort do think is going to be placed in sourcing something different when potently we are looking at a global recession ? very little would be my thoughts ?
  22. These are made in china, you may have heard of a pandemic in the news ? I expect you'll not get be able to get this product for some months...
  23. not before noon thanks...
