Can anyone please help, some years ago as part of a pay deal we were told that if we covered call for anyone off sick or if we had a shortage of engineers thus being on call more often we could book standby allowance. Does anybody have any copies of this agreement? Many to thanks Ric

  3. I have a son that has served for almost four years. He was called up two days after the World Trade Center attack. He's only been back for what seems like a little while, and he's been called again. He has two kids of his own, the youngest just turned two. The news reported yesterday that eight U.K. sailors were taken by the Iranian navy. I pray for their release and safety. - From at least one American to you, all of you in the U.K. - THANK YOU! No politics - no pretense - just, THANK YOU! That's one great country you've got there!

Most of us have had one. Take a chance, no wardens to be seen then as you pop back out after leaving the car for a what seems like only a minute or two, there's a **** putting one on your screen. Grrrrr. Where did he come from? Teleportation? More likely he was writing the ticket from a hidden vantage point. My mate was dropping one of his guys off in central London and stopped on a yellow. As he was helping his unload the tools and kit, engine running and hazards on, a warden slapped a written ticket on the screen. Now, you can drive away before the ticket is written and the toss. Successfully, it seems, as some wardens now take pictures of the ticketed car to avoid som…

We have all been told by upvc window/door installers 'if the alarm engineer drill's the windows for surface contacts the warranty is void they must use the stick on type' What is the general opinion of that comment and who manufactures the most reliable and durable contacts? We seem to be doing more and more of these requests Do you charge for two visit's, one to remove old contacts and then return to replace, what 's a fair price! General opinion's please.

Does anyone know who the company pension provider was then, I wrote to //.National Installer.// (They bought Britannia) who just sent me back a load of garbage about contacting my line manager (I don't even work for them). I kept all my paperwork from those days except my pension documents. Anyone?
