I have set up a burglar alarm system on my bedroom. I also like to make videos of my hobbies and upload them to my YouTube channel Thorn Gamma 6. Thanks

Hi All. I'm Joe Public and am looking to you fine men (and women) to guide me on the following alarm system; Either: RISCO Agility 3 or the Texecom Ricochet System (Please don't suggest other systems eg Honeywell) as my mind is melting already...I just want a good alarm that will do the job as I've had shifty characters quiz my 14yo daughter about when Im in/out :-( I need 6 PIR's and 4 door sensors. I have cctv (with live view iphone abilities) so the camera function on the Risco is not necessarily needed. I would like the ability to arm/disarm the alarm remotely (iphone). I have a router and phone line, max distance from PIR t…

Hello folks. Joined Modern alarms in 1987 when the only qualifications required were an ability to not need sleep and to keep smiling regardless. Started with single zone panels with end of line batteries and kilometers of cc wire tacked to floors and ceilings behind hardboard, with tube and batten windows. Used to put mains voltage down them to find the weak joints. Just had to make sure no kids about. The company then, was in such flux that if you could stick it for a year they paid long service pay and two days extra holiday. Still hanging on for my "30 years service free pen!" Ron.

Hi everyone , Rookie here signing up for some wisdom . A bit about myself . I did 2 years electrical engineering before joining the navy to be all that I can be . After busting naughty fisherman for a bit I decided to leave and join a security firm providing tech support over the phone . Now I'm a rookie tech doing installs and service. Now the reason I joined this forum is the lack of any sort of structured training . Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to be centred around product knowledge than anything. Most of my learning is on the job and self initiated . IVe been taking old panels home and familiarising myself with programming . Now so …
