Hello. Thought i better introduce myself, i don't really want to say too much about myself as some of the questions i plan to ask are employment related and i'd prefer it if my current employers remain unaware of my plans to possibly make a move. There's a good chance some of my colleagues are on here. I've been working with fire and security alarms and the occasional access system for nearly 5 years. Thought i'd start an account here as i'm looking to build my knowledge a bit more.

Hello to one and all, new member to the site, personally I'm a specialist in ANPR solutions both simple and complex bespoke encrypted systems on both digital and analogue side of the business. Further knowledge in CCTV and target hardening in hostile environments Railways and so forth. Do a lot of covert installation of detection systems and covert CCTV and the company I work builds and designs bespoke solutions for this. However I have a question regarding redcare costs I need answering if someone could help me out! If anyone needs help Or advice with any of the above ever just tap me up

Hi I have recently purchased the visonic wireless alarm system (complete) with the expander module as I want the external sounder to be hard wired. I have the deltabell plus sounder and the wiring diagram is pretty easy to follow,but I'm struggling a little as to what terminals the wires go in the controll panel ? So far I think I have figured out that 12v +,- goes to siren/ext in the panel TT. goes to Z29/GND in the panel What I'm struggling with is where does the strobe and bell of the sounder go into the controll panel?. I don't know yet if you can post photo's on here of the actual connections for a better idea of what I'm on about. I hope someone can tr…

Just saying hi to all, I'm not a professional alarm installer but have mostly managed to get my own Scantronic 9448+, autodialler and RKP working. Main hobby is european touring on my motorbikes - there is a topic where I can maybe offer advice !! Other than that I survey new properties for their communications supply (not what customers put on the end of the wires). James

Hi it has been years since my last post on this forum After many years in the trade working in London &Essex. Keeping my head down and installing away [ 16 years with my current company 39 total ], I have put my head above the wall to find a totaly differant brave new world I need to find a job so i found my contacts book went through the pages only to find most have sold up and retired to spain the numbers dissconnected or i am sorry to say dead Ok lets try looking on line. My findings are We no longer install security systems we fit them ,and most domestic alarms have no wires [ is this magic] this was explained to me by employment age…
