breff
I chisel the wall out, fit a 20mm self seal gland as usually the hole in the back is threaded, squirt silicon in the gland, squirt silicon over the screw heads, run a bead of silicon all around the camera base/wall except about an inch on the bottom The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
norman
If it needs silicone it's not suitable. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Alarm Protection
I agree norm but even if it doesn't need silicone up here we will run it round the camera as the wind and rain can batter a camera for hours. Especially on the east coast side. !

reidy
We tend to use eyeball cameras and cable managed bases (adata le rings), you absolutely have to seal those Hey Ho, Lets Go
alterEGO
With the weather in this country silicone is always worth while, cameras are alot better these days but old habbits and all that.
Oxo
I find dropping one negates the need for silicone.
