  1. what system is it? have you tried swapping inputs?

  3. As above its probably another device nothing to do with the intruder alarm
  4. the point at the start was check for a battery powered smoke detector not on the alarm. Where is the beep coming from?

  9. go with a system that does a wired siren then, however assuming your not setting it off every day lithium cells do last a couple of years
  10. billy, you want the best for the lowest cost. The pro's here do the same years of testing and research. I myself have tested lots of gear i wouldnt use in production but tests well I have to say if pure diy stay away from the better pro gear because it isnt easy to get right
  11. imo if they want in they are coming in, some are easier than others but never imo rely on physical security alone
  12. if its recent it will have toughend glass but its plastic so ill avoid the glass issue i see then it has a cylinder or even a bump have a decent alarm basically

  14. the units your looking at are ok. I dont use either. Its difficult to comment as we do distribute both. However both your brands are now used by both diy and pro installer. Id call the support lines and see which support you better pre sale tbh. plus this sounds a bit blind date cilla...
  15. question, is your priorty security or cheap as possible?
