might be an idea to post em here as I see lots of quotes that the end user think are the same spec etc as some are a little misleading

its normal practice to change it. If a system fails to perform then they are liable. If you fiddle with it and change things, it may no longer comply etc.

I have to agree with Norman, if it's under warranty you have undone that and given your insurer a way out if you needed it

he tamper switch that is detecting if the lid is on correctly

you still have a tamper problem then, either you have another tamper or the sping isn't closed

put the lid back on properly before trying to reset

id assume with poor alignment they would be more sensitive
