https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/Quinetic/index.html Seems very keenly priced. And the whole battery thing really does mean it's something you'd actually offer a non tech-savvy customer. I wonder if the EnOcean patent has expired or something, MK used to sell them but at very p-take prices e.g. £80 for a single switch.

I saw this coming a little while back as two new options appeared on the master webpage for my Gen II i-On panels. But it was officially announced today, it would seem you can now get SIA over IP monitoring via CSL and Webway at the click of a button on Ion Gen II platforms (So far, Style, 30R and 40H), no extra hardware required. I suppose the next release will be a 3/4G module to fit into the i-On footprint. However, if it is the usual £250 touch of previous Eaton GSM add-ons it would be hard to recommend over existing external module solutions eg webway nano.

WebWay are pleased to advise that serial connectivity to the HKC Securewave products is now supported. Your panel will need to be loaded with Version 3.3.3 from the HKC website. Login to your HKC account Go to the Client Zone Access Software downloads. Install the "Upgrade Tool for Securewave panels" Then upload from your PC to your panel via USB following the install wizard instructions. We recommend that you take the opportunity to update Smartlink 7000 to V1.2.3 Connectivity and programming instructions for HKC/WebWay integration can be found at the WebWay website in the Support area.

News just in, due to brexit, Scantronic are bringing back the 9851 with a 9800- option for budget installs, the Logic 4 is back as the Logic 5 (confirmation now as standard) and I've just heard that Bosch are in the process of restarting all the DA production lines in London. You can now get an Abacus from £450 without keypad, although prices do fluctuate daily.
