  1. Thanks. I have Elite QD (wired) in all my installations and they work great, never had an issue with them. It is annoying as I can't get a bundle that fits what I need which includes: wireless panel + 3x QD-W PIRs + Wired Bell. Having not used the basic PIRs before I am tempted to buy the Kit-0001, add a wired bell, wireless PA, and dialer. Do some long run tests on that and switch out for the QD-W at a later date (if required).
  2. Hi thx, the kit comes with the Odyssey X-W . I do think I can find a route for the bell, do you know if this bell allows for hard wire (in addition to wireless)? Also have you used the PIRs that come with this kit? The Premier Compact PW-W. the ones I've used on my wired installations have been great and hoping these are regarded as good PIRs too? Thanks again
  3. Hi all: I have been installing Texecom Premiere Elite 48 (wired) for a while with great success and reliability. I now need to install a wireless alarm as I have come across a property where running the cables with be too difficult. As I know Texecom very well I am looking into install their wireless alarm, specifically the 64-W Kit-0002 with a few add-ons (panic button etc). Can anyone please give me their experience of how reliable this system is? Any advice... Thanks v much
  4. Hello: I'm a beginner when it comes to CCTV/IP cameras and could do with some recommendations on buying two IP cameras for the outside of my home. One will be for the front garden and another for the rear alley/access way to the home. I need them to be as discreet/covert as possible therefore something small in size I can hide and IR illumination that isn't visible to anyone approaching (940nm?) either on the camera or separate illuminator(s). I do not need PTZ. The front garden camera needs something in the region of 100 degree viewing angle while the rear alley is a narrow view. Both need to monitor a distance up to approx 20 metres. It needs to cope with UK weather. I would prefer to transmit the signal via a LAN cable and use Power over Ethernet, but if I had to run a separate line for power then I can work with that. I don't think wireless is going to be reliable as the signal isn't fantastic outside. The intention is to live view the video feeds on occasions (eg if I happen hear something suspicious outside) but also have my NAS record on movement. I feel confident on seting up the network, live viewing app and my NAS to record, I'm just clueless about the IP camera / illumination side of things. I'm also on a tight budget :/ Any recommendations for the right kit I can buy in the UK to meet my needs? Thank you
