From the 21st of January a new speed trap was fitted within both bores(i do belive)...These Cameras are run by the highways Agency,so 10 % + 2 mph over the limit you do not recieve points you recieve a

Cant see how that can be legal. The Highways agency have no powers to regulate or impose speeding fines on UK roads!

Speed cameras can be run by private contractors to the Local Government such as Serco who run the Gatso's. But funding and revenue go directly to the M.P's slush fund.

I too have seen the speed camera's, and its all going too far now. I am going to fit a 007 licence plate thingy to me car just incase.

I have just been done. 37mph in a 30mph zone this was on a bend of a hill going from a national speed limit type road to this 30mph. I have been back to check and there was no sign or warnings on the road coming around this corner. There is no point trying to argue the case. This was a mobile operated speed trap. (Not a Police Officer) First driving offence so should be

10% plus 3 is the acpo guideline...

ie 30+3+3 = 36 mph = an offence

personally, I wouldnt issue a ticket that low..

unfortunately it's 10% + 2.......35 in a 30 is an endorsable offence....3 points +
