Ok, I am needing to replace my bellbox on my Yale alarm system. The new bellbox is circular (old one is square type) and so i'm gonna need to get new holes drilled and that isnt a prob, but I do need to know what to use to repair the holes that were originally drilled for the system to be put in?? (Please don't reply with how **** these system apparently are. I have moved from 2500 series to 3500 series and now on a hybrid 3500/6400 series and they have never false alarmed on me, and i have found them to be excellent. Hi I have a Eurosec CPX system. How do i program the LCD keypad to use the part set function. I have been through most of the settings but can not find it. I need to set which zones i want on during part set mode. Also can i set the chime function for front and back doors ?I have them both set as entry/exit but only the front door chimes. Advice would be greatful.

Hi I have wired in a PIR to the panel, using the EOL method. Can someone please tell me what setting i need to set it up correct. I have it set to 24hr, then NORM, but the sensor does not detect anything when i put it on test mode. If i change it to -remove, it all works. But with the alarm in standby, as soon as the PIR detects you it sounds a fault. I also have it set to ELF 1 Can someone please advise.

Hi all, Got a strange one here so im told, I have a 12 zone.. yes 12 zone accord panel. A mate i know who works for //.Large National Installer.// says hes only ever seen a 8 zone one... I have the engineers manual for the 8 zone and a few things are the same, except it seems the programing options selections. Im quite stuck as this system was installed in my old property and now installed in my new house it needs to be re configured to suit. I have some pictures i will add here, hope there allowed ? Hi, Anyone able to give me some advice? During the early hours when there was a heavy frost one of my two bell boxes (Tate) of my intruder alarm (Melcom) started intermittently sounding for short bursts (few secs max) in no regular pattern. It went on for a few hours and now it has stopped - ?starting to warm up?. I tried putting the alarm on engineer setting, however despite this it continued to sound. I assume that it must be a local fault in the bell box which hasn't triggered the tamper loop. What is the likely problem in your experience? Thanks Chris

Hi I have a Bosch P1 Blueline PIR sensor. I am totaly confused as to what wire goes where. I have the + & - going to the Aux +- on the panel. I have a eurosec cpx panel. I need to know where to wire the 4k7 and 6k8 and 12k resistors to make it EOL. I have attached the drawing with the sensor. Can someone please advise. Valks

I having trouble understanding the manual for set zone attributes. The problem I have is with zone 1 (front door) and zone 2 (lobby pir). I have set zone 1 to FE and zone 2 to ER but when i set the alarm zone 2 beeps as i exit and once armed zone 1 instantly triggers alarm on re-entry. All entry exit timers are set to default settings. The manual says use zone attribute x7 but how do you set it to x7, in installer mode I select that zone firstly it lets you edit zone name then edit zone type. What am i doing wrong, all help appreciated.

I have the Karizma + (id buscuit ?)Installed with 10 points used. It has been in for 4 years or so Recently, I have been getting false intruder detection on one of the PIRs. Not taper alerts just intruder Should I just replece the PIR sensor? Any type model etc etc Any tips \ advice would be appreciated. Also, is it possible to have a silent entry/start rather than the bleeps?? Thanks Matthew

Installed a Scantronic 9651 at home, the problem I have is when I power up from consumer unit its trips the rcd also on the consumer unit, the strange thing is the power still remains on on the alarm. If i remove fuse from alarm problem does not occur, I removed connectors from the low voltage side of transformer to isolate that but it still trips. Have i got a faulty transformer on the panel or am i doing something wrong. The consumer unit is crabtree and the RCD is a 30ma, I know that the unit is split but i don't understand how the power can remain on to alarm if thats whats causing the problem. All help appreciated

I installed a Texecom R8Plus system a couple of years ago and it was reasonably easy to install. But now I have to move one of the sensors. What exactly do I need to do though to prevent damage to the unit? Do I have to power down, and if so how do I do that and will I lose all of my settings? Thank you.
