This isnt a yale / diy system if this was possible your alarm would be easily defeated on a break in.
An alarm is a great thing and way better than doorbell cams or cctv for general crime. Im assuming you would like to have one.
Get it serviced and operational is my advice.
No code can just 'fix' things it appears to have a tamper fault.
id disagree i quite like the old ade stuff only major issue was a weak charger circuit. Looked after they last forever
Can't see how that would have any effect on an rf device battery.
What are you classing as good batteries?
I don't know the Eaton stuff I presume it's using lithium?
I'd say local only stuff will be a future but not yet most people want stuff to work without worrying or thinking about anything else.
Once their systems they don't care about show when they are out, not close to home and giving pattens to their movement that will change.
Agree with 6 above.
Regarding cams use ones that dont have a cloud etc access. It's amazing that all the Internet reviews only use consumer crap not real pro stuff. I need to start selling anything then add a pro to the name.
I'd be cautious of hik and Duhua without limiting it's access tbh.
There is a open source firmware project for cams that you can reflash
Yes i Raised it many years ago but there was no demand. To be fair its a bit like restricted keys etc there are ways to do it but they are costly. To me adding a wiegand interface would be be the best option
