  1. Not wishing to get into the debate but 'Proper' gear needs to comply with the product standard (not the install) and part of that is testing the battery OK Most if not all panel will dip the supply and measure the voltage as a means to do this check. ie also all the 12v peripherals should be able (if compliant) to handle this ripple voltage. I dont know texecom gear well or at all and not sure if the network errors are a log tool or just log 'noise'. Either way it shouldnt cause a problem in normal operation. If it is causing a problem (other than a disganostic log) then something is wrong.
  2. Don't know the panel bit is there attributes on the circuits?
  3. depending on cable lengths the non network side should be copper alarm cable CQR 8 Core Professional Alarm Cable White [CAB8/WH/100M]
  4. looks like a panel / psu problem then. If it stable without the mains.
  5. if you run it only on the battery does the comms issues stop? if yes psu issue if no not psu issue its definetly not normal
  6. Not sure on your panel psu size but if you ditch all the spks then what do you get. I haven't looked in detail but what's the day current?
  7. Hi 1. That isnt normal 2. If everyone serviced systems this wouldnt be required however it is a good idea but i understand your concerns but isnt an issue for a healty system your 16 ohms, they all on one or 1 per expander? how are they powered? if panel powered have you doubled or trebled up the power?
  8. Sorry don't use the stuff. Is it part set or groups. Code and keypad permitted to arm b?
  9. according to the diagrom provided above its single resistor non eol so
  10. As above you need to disable the sab, self actuating bell in the bell. As H if its not pro gear or not installed properly then it probably won't work as it should
  11. We've launched a new panel - the EURO 76 ? James adds i thought it already existed. Was the euro 44 then the 76 then the 134 announced before my kids were born? i wait to be corrected.
  12. good news how bad were the ones you had? or was it range etc? ie what did you have before and what do you have now
  13. Hopefully nobody noticed but there have been a few upgrades on tsi. Mainly aiming for speed improvement on mobile mainly if anyone has seen a speed increase.
  14. Be interesting to know a little more about it. Maybe an actual reason to got to the nec
  15. i think we will have to agree to disagree Al
  16. i wouldnt want to send anything over IP without encryption. Al it your password 1234 or P4ssw0rd?
  17. Ive yet to meet anyone that didnt like redcare classic/gsm.
  18. if you have an additional 2 circuits where the 6 core goes back to (im assuming panel) then just use a pair for each contact (ie red/blk contact 1, blu/yell contact2 etc) and program the panel to the correct eol values. Wiring should be in the manual but if not just say and ill dig out an image. But also bear in mind how the contacts are installed. If there is an issue there however you wire them you will have problems. Post a picture of the 3 with the door closed please
  19. encryption prevents data being in sent in plain so it cant be read or intercepted. If sent in plain you could send the an open or an abort signal etc without it actually coming from the spt
  20. everything should be encrypted especially in security unless i missed the sarcasm?
  21. Also if its just std surfac door contacts how close / inline are they? Are they decent ones? maybe a picture of how they are fitted. As 6 says as you can now see fault finding is needed as all you know is its one of the 3 rather than identifying 1 contact. However if its stable with 2 and unstable with 3 id suggest its local to the 3rd. I presume as 6 its double pole and you havnt hidden resistors somewhere
  22. Is it a 6 core cable? If so just use eol contacts \resistors and put 1 on each circuit. Id only put 2 on 1 circuit if its double doors
