COP Inspire DVR Questions
You 'could' use a pc blue blue iris or zoneminder but dont expect the uptime of a dedicated NVR most decent dvr's are hybrid and can support analogue and IP but id suggest using an NVR for IP cameras with POE outputs Personally i dislike HIK also their cheap stuff is IMO awful but then all cheap stuff is I suppose

COP Inspire DVR Questions
You can download ff fixed versions. I use that for really old stuff. Dm went bust because people didn't buy it. Maybe if you and others upgraded that wouldn't of happened. But still you need a new dvr imo

Pyronix Euro46 - Do I need a local engineer in Manchester??
Alarm companies carry the liability for your system, thats why its locked. If you waive this then you may find a company that will allow it. Bear in mind you could change something that you think is a good idea that could prevent correct operation or make it non compliant.

As 6 you still have a tamper fault. the word fault is wrong here as you caused the tamper by opening parts. Once all faults/errors are clear it will reset.

Discussing current smart(ish) alarm systems
Nothing wrong with adt at all. However people spend more on coffee beer or fags than they do their security Perhaps we should swap, whatever someone does for what we do. Or we could strike maybe Noone will notice that either

Discussing current smart(ish) alarm systems
most 'smart' systems are easily disabled. a pro company is not likely or permitted to use a non compliant product that would expose them to a failure to perform claim from yourself or your insurer. approved systems are secure and compliant, allowing 3rd control from unapproved and it most cases insecure systems isn't something I would do or recommend anyone do even DIY. people would use a lock made of plastic but seem not to care about the security of their electronic protection, this can be seen by the horrible stuff we all see out there. im a big supporter of home automation but most people want it free so there is little business case to make product fir that market this will change imo

Door locks which allow online code changes?
We would normally use access control for this, smart locks are an option but are more aimed at DIY use than Pro security providers

Scantronic 500R+ low battery
Everyone assumes there is a code that kills systems. The golden burgler code. Its not yale it wont be easy to kill. If you want a security system that is easy to defeat keep looking away from our stuff
