  1. I wasn't meaning it to come across that way. I prefer to know about issues etc. If it's read that way then I apologise.
  2. no I think its best you prioritise it. The membership here needs guidance and thinks your playing all for your own benefit? seen as you rarely frequent here till you have new info.
  3. cg can you give a best practice tsi members should be doing? to mitigate the issues as much as possible
  4. As above when was it last serviced?
  5. you cant test mesh unless you test every device to location through the mesh. that takes a while from what ive read?
  6. Sorry I wasn't meaning direct mic links. You meaning mic direct links, curvature of the earth?
  7. Ask the questions, make your clients aware and upgrade as a minimum I'd say
  8. Bear in mind WiFi is like old hubs. Be careful on bandwidth. I'd be cautious over 3 cams at low framerates
  9. I'd advise covers but I do the same and take em off
  10. do they not look to you for advice on whats good equipment?
  11. No it isn't programming. Out of the box it wouldn't do what ur reporting. Prove the panel by disconnecting everything then once proved add things one at a time. One option would be to wire the rear door onto 2 and link 3 and follow the same process if you don't want to strip all the wiring
  12. no it wouldn't (bellbox) on a walk test. But I do think it isn't a panel issue run a temp new cable to the 2 devices bet it doesn't continue I think its external
  13. id say you have a cross voltage between the 2 circuits.
  14. It has to be wiring if it was panel we would get loads of returns which we don't the optima has a very low return rate and then its usually because its been wired wrong and blown
  15. Ah did you remove the wiring from 3 when you linked it out?
  16. how do you report fault (ie tel line digi etc) to the fire panel? Is the intruder alarm compliant to bs5839, whats the standby time of the alarm (as the dialler will be powered from it if wiring direct) etc etc etc
  17. If you have provided a 5839 cert then wiring it non 5839 kit would make the cert invalid.
