  1. a and b should connect to 2 and 5 in the master socket plate
  2. Don't you want to know if it 'drops off' Fix why it's sounding rather than disable.
  3. had issues with all previous wireless I have used. Use HKC now and no problems on any.
  4. cheap protection? there is a limit to how cheap its still doable. btw ive got an offer on cheap airbags for Vauxhall... wont work as well as the proper ones but they are cheap sell your proper one for a huge 'profit' kin hope you don't need it work mind
  5. agreed pound shops etc poundland security now there is an idea... seriously though why does anyone do security on the cheap? I know we or I am biased but why?
  6. yes but id say that's cos they think quality is similar. If you have no measure of difference and all is the same the cost is the decider. I'm the same when I buy stuff. 2 people selling me carpets ill look at the carpet, same carpet ill want to know who will fit it better, but buying a carpet isn't protecting me from f'all so next up is support when I need it
  7. yes id agree, the modern marketing is cheaper, insurance, supermarket etc but then its whats best a cheap parachute when skydiving, a cheap flood barrier, a cheap condom. or good ones?
  8. yes id agree needed but still a huge overhead
  9. I do see the other argument tho. Remove as much overhead as possible. What does your office cost you to staff for client support etc etc
  10. tp. your asking for advice then changing the posts so to speak. Focus on your customer and what they want, then look for a product that fits that. Its never a fit and forget in our industry as it needs supporting. Don't look at the gear cost look at the gear, how well you install it and how well you will support it. Many fit half decent gear then bugger off after a year or 2.
  11. I'm not saying I'm right I'm only 16th qual but id be suprised
  12. take a local firm and undercut their prices as they have overheads. Go for ssaib approval and then give up and go back to employment?
  13. Re modifying a circuit without an rcd, are you sure about that?
