  1. DD, I've had someone similar where it would lose random user tags for no apparent reason. I'd swap the panel out if it was our customer
  2. No don't have to use the bracket. We never normally do unless they are feeling mounted
  3. Pmv the other day. Had one on the wall behind the Keypad. Almost **** myself when it went off.
  4. As others have said any decent company can default the codes and don't know what they are doing if they can't, they cannot be servicing it properly if they don't have the engineer code.
  5. The local company should be able to default the panel codes and reprogrammed it without the need for ADTs engineer code. Thinking about it tho they don't need ADTs code to repgoram fobs that's done on the master manager level not engineers.
  6. Usually on a sticker on the panel Or upload a photo and we can tell you.
  7. Just had one system go pop with the recent lightning up here.thank god
  8. Last time I handed notice in, it was a months notice I had to give. Handed it notice at 0830 Monday morning, was sent to a booked PMV and by the time I got back to the office I was told to go home. Heard similar stories over the years so wouldn't worry too much about it.
  9. haven't worked on a 9651 in years. It was the first domestic panel we fitted in mass at the time
  10. Entry zone not programmed for final on part Set ?
  11. There is 1 on eBay if as Mr happy says your into DIY. But new controls would be a better idea, you could almost garuntee after you've fitted the new keypad there will be a fault with the panel and it would need changing anyway. We cover Manchester if you would like a quote let me know.
  12. Hi Steve, I'm afraid the panel is obsolete, a 2nd hand keypad may work (never seen more than 1 on a abacus system so I couldn't gateuntee it would work, others on here might know) Upgrading the panel is an option, cables and detection equipment can usually be reused. Where abouts are you based?
  13. Technicolours arnt too bad. Try a lower port number first. If you want I can teamviwer in and take a look?
  14. Have you tried putting the DVR in this DMZ? Or using a lower port? I've done many sky routers and never had an issue getting into then or setting up ports or using dmz(I know DMZ isn't the most secure way or doing it) What sky router is it?
  15. There's a few on here who cover that area. As Norman said tho, how long would it take you to do compared to a pro with the experience. Easiest way would be to fit a Box next to the camera for the join but it won't look the best. If at all possible I try and conceal cables and joins in the cavity. 25mm hole is usually enough.
  16. Glad its sorted but Tamper on a dimension isn't +ve tho mate. Its Aux & GND
  17. Outputs 1003 defaults as bell neg applied and 1004 as strobe neg applied
  18. http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php +1
  19. I don't use the gear either but I'd just learn it on site once fitted. From what others have said in the past if the stuff isn't learnt properly it causes faults and can be a nightmare , you could end up causing yourself more greif by trying to do it before hand.
  20. What analogue bit? Some of the dahua DVRs are a full tribrid (fitted them myself) and they will take HDCVI & Analoguge cameras & up to a certain amount of IP cams. Plug and play as well, the DVR will automatically sense the resolution of the input and display the image from the camera.
