Programming in the new sensor is an engineer only function.
Any local company will be able to takeover the system and do this for you.
Contact a couple of companies for quotes for a callout
Better of with the LAN module IMO.
pstn module isn't compatible with the app panels and the wifi module isn't either due to the metal panel- they were on about releasing a wifi aerial but not sure if it's out yet.
Not worth taking it over if it's one or two systems with those in and even then you'll need to flash it.
better off swapping it out.
The speaker outputs on them go sometimes -goes into full alarm even when unset without warning.
Speaking from past experience you would be better of changing the unit out -Upgrade it to UDL while your at it too.
Its usually a ball ache getting them transferred.
Used to service a gent Vigi system in a domestic in the sticks.
However it was a stately home with outbuildings etc.
Owner built it from scratch and had a full set of drawings for fire intruder and the CCTV.
Buying from alarm supplies , had Paul up to see us and had a 1070 kit to try. Which im warming too....
Not sure if cutting the pillars would be enough , the dc6 units are even better than the current ones.....
Good to hear
The 1070 is tight got cables and signalling (couldn't fit a Dualcom inside one the other week)
Might be easier on a new install with plenty of length on the cables but these were panel changes (f'ing nightmare)
Does the quantum take the WIFI cards?
Old thread but yeah wifi module is good -range a bit limited tho
and the wireless keypads are ****.
Fitted 2 HKC 1070 recently - reminds me of the aritech CD gear but great panels non the less
I'd go NVR in garage in a secure cabinet and a Spot monitor decoder in the house via the ethernet link.
As above NVR should then always have recordings
