  1. The original Optimas/Accentas I can still programme without a manual The G3 range onwards,I still require one though. They moved everything about. Tbh, it very rare we'll fit one, maybe for an old dear with all the cables coming out at switch height in the hall for instance.
  2. christ! Wish we had the time, that's epic!
  3. Yes House Area A. You can still then have a 'part arm' for night set for example. Outbuildings Area B Keep the keypads separate to each area, keeps it simple then. Code for the house assigned to area A. Outbuildings area B.
  4. Lol, that sneeky feckker has nearly had me once or twice.......!
  5. No issues as you wouldnt know Only joking. Weve got a few sites, just never been a fan of it really, especially when compared to say a G2 running portals. Never used Texe wireless. I like the idea, just looking on here it seems a bit 'fussy' in its set up.
  6. scanny wireless is tat though. We have existing sites out there (mainly 9X5X) and the wireless PIRs especially are poor imo. Real **** pick up imo. Also not 2 way iirc?
  7. We fit galaxy Rock solid and as you mention they have the facility to add wireless later on if need be
  8. I found the keypad slow, at one point it told me wrong code entered after me activating it, then it unset.... Also the cringe at the talking alarm, dunno maybe it's just me, but the enforcer is the better system.
  9. Good stuff I came in here to say what ever you do don't get a risco agility Had the (mis) fortune of one today. Crock of ***** IMO. Much rather an enforcer any day for wire free.
  10. Change the output of the panel to detector reset. Then connect the 0v of your viper to it. This will power cycle the unit every time you set the alarm, thus clearing the led. In the book of words
  11. For me there's too many grey areas at the mo, and bits can be down to interpretation . There needs to be a pocket guide type of thing for normal goons like me on the tools, and a revision at every update, what's changed and why...... I'd pay for sure, would others? depends on them i suppose. An electrical one was under £20 off memory. For something to refer back to whilst on site, would be handy.
  12. Plain English for regs? 100% yes as an engineer!
  13. If the panel is 3 years old you might have compatibility issues, you've only been able to add a portal in the last few years
  14. Aye, most doors we see are either fastened down from the inside, or locked halfway up, so popping them out would be hard going? Still, one site we had a hole cut IN the door. Big cat flap type job, wish I got a pic! Unlucky for them there was AX across the door and D/T in loading bay
  15. Same tech also We tend to fit one, never been pulled up about it, then either DT, or AX across the door
  16. tat imo, no different to b&q specials at premium prices. For those prices of the complete kit,, you could have one professionally installed by an nsi/ssaib co. That includes piece of mind, warranty & insurance approved graded system.
  17. We've still got a load of Logic 4's and old Bentleys out there under maintenance, got a REALLY old ADE panel in our stores, boss wont let it go, cream metal cased thing with a KS, i'll have to grab a pic! First system I installed myself was probably an Optima!
