  1. Yup, we at least fit duct grade cable in any barns or what not
  2. Yeah on anything that monitored or proper we always do. Think I'll roll this out to all systems we've never really bothered so much for the wee domestics
  3. We usually give the customer the admin rights to systems, but today I went to a system that's been in for a few months. Whilst I was there just checked the recording and found only one channel was recording. With checking the logs I found the customer had turned off recording to all the other cameras whilst trying to search something back. Done it by accident. Now I'm wondering weather we just give them basic user rights and keep the admin for ourselves? Thoughts?
  4. and also have you a new contact/detection on said new entry door?
  5. Should have a bought a scantronic 9651 kit. Better budget panel without stupid eol values
  6. it locked,as in you cant default it back to factory parameters. Seriously you'd be better with a eurosec
  7. programming on takeovers ha!
  8. Tbf never thought about it that way, longs its documented that's fair enough (and saves on dots ;-))
  9. 130 hrs! Farking hell, something to get you're teeth into then?? How do you go about marking heads for the split servicing, coloured dots or some other way?
  10. Just getting a feel of what other co's don't on an initial take over On taking over an existing system we will give 100% test, mark detectors for future 6 monthly/quarterly tests (if not already) and full zone list/plan Any deviations noted and passed to the customer. It seems a good proportion of these take overs have "50%" test in the log book, but as sensors ain't marked who's to know what's been tested?! And also have no existing zone plans or device lists... are we being too thorough if there's such a thing?! Just seems lots of fire I see are maybe just functionally tested by a spark and that's that??
  11. Best basic domestic wired panel that's cheap and half decent imo, scantronic 9651. That would do any domestic with up to 8 zones. Easy to set up, and more professional than an accenta G4.
  12. Fitted a DM SD advanced in the end. Another crock of **** imo, so fussy to use in regards to the end user, oh and the walk though zones dont work, had DM tech on it all day. The Genie stopped working after our ARC moved from Immix enterprise to cloud. For some reason if the machine was not recording on site, all alarms came through fine. As soon as you hit record on the machine, then trigger the inputs, for some reason stated comming though as code 0's on MAS. Wasted two days on it, the crock of *****. I hate CCTV, give me an alarm any day
  13. That 800 needs doubling if you actually want it to do what you want.
  14. So it does. Got no Ptz, so no issues there Does the paid one have ads Can't belive a machine in this price range has no decent app.
  15. Not without issues on a few we have?
  16. had a mare with it initiating an entry zone, and subsequent walk throughs up a drive Had tech on it all afternoon, still no joy. For the £££ it should all just 'work' that and the **** apps havent gone down too well with the customer. We just want a nice DVR that will do ARC reporting, have a set/unset input audio and nice apps.. Not much to ask......
  17. Any other apps work other that the net vu? It doesn't work on iPad, and is a bit **** compared to say idms. Only single screen viewing also.... I probably know the answer, but you never know!
  18. i must have wasted a day trying to port forward a technicolour last year Bin fodder.
  19. Got a site that has an existing immix monitoring with loads of mither from the Dvr currently fitted (genie - biggest pile of junk I've ever used) I'm not immix biggest fan in any way, but does anyone run a hero with immix? If id like some thoughts feedback
  20. We also cover the all the northwest Suggest a scantronic 9651 as a direct replacement
  21. yes, you could do that. just connect the bell op of the Garage system to drive a clean contact relay and connect that into the house veritas zone. Prog that as PA, then connect PA upto the dialler, put the message into it as garage. Job done. But for all that ******* about i'd stick a Premier Elite 24 poly in, set it up with areas. Thats will do everything you need and be proper.......
  22. Two of these http://handylittlemodules.co.uk/product/hlr12/ One relay to be driven off PIR directly. One pole to be wired into the veritas garage zone. One pole with a 0V trigger to the dialler wired through it, which is then taken though the other relay driven off veritas op system set. Wont win any naccoss awards but will work.
