  1. He said app, not RF strength, clean your ears out!
  2. Hi and welcome, those Risco panels were not very popular, they looked nice, the app was good, but the mk 1s were short lived and we never bothered with the mk 2s
  3. I would say that its as much courtesy as it is requirement. In some circumstances the customers insurance my want to see them. We use electronic jobsheets, that we email to the customer, for those without email we post a copy
  4. I am sure someone will recommend a panel for you, I dont have any experience of the latest non trade panels
  5. You cant stop it from tampering unless you know the engineer code. the user code will shut it up once you have tampered it. But unless you have 2 keypads you may struggle, because once you have opened the keypad the buttons may not work at all. I agree with James its twenty odd years old, it was a goodish panel but it is old I cant think of anything electronic I own that is that old
  6. if the dialler is looking for 0v removed to trigger it then the bell output will only trigger it once you have disarmed, check the dialler instructions about inverting the input. Be aware your dialler will be useless by 2025 Openreach are changing all analogue lines to digital this has already been started in some areas
  7. You could change the code so you only use the numbers on the working half
  8. I dont rate Pyronix never have done
  9. We just took over the service on a Enforcer, the bats hadnt been replaced for four years, the manufacturer recommends 2 -3 years, we recommend every year, nothing worse than low battery just before you want to go on holiday
  10. Yes call your installer and ask them to do it, they will charge you for this. We cannot give out defaulting info here, we have no way of telling if you are a burglar or someone trying to save a callout charge.
  11. Check the batteries in your smoke detectors intruder alarms dont do intermittent beeps
  12. QFA I have a tame electrician, plumber and chef, that I call on whenever I need a spur sorted, a leak fixed, or a sausage rolled.
  13. Hi we have a lockdown solution that not only sounds sounders around the school it works with an app. It can be activated from the app so from a smart phone and it will alert everyone in the school that has the app on their phone. It tells you not only that there is an intruder, but where on the grounds that intruder is. We have already installed this system in several schools and colleges. https://www.wakefield-security.co.uk/commercial-security/security-systems-for-schools-colleges-and-universities/critical-incident-management/
  14. Any modern panel that you can lay your hands on. I wouldnt bother with a dialler though they will all be obsolete by 2025
  15. You cant your installer has to do it, the only other way is to use the same ssd and password as your old router
  16. Good luck with that
  17. We post defaulting details in the public forum all of a sudden that cheapo alarm system you have becomes worthless, because any burglars reading this will know how to default it. Also, ADT have different engineer codes for different areas, even if we could give you an installer code its likely it wont work, you purchased it on ebay, the chances are it wont have come out of a site in the same town the vendor sold it from. You need the postcode of the house it was originally installed in and an engineer that works for that particular branch, chances of that happening is about 500/1
  18. I think the display gives the game away as to whats wrong here
  19. Hi Steve Welcome Many panels can do this, but if you need it to be on Police response this could be a problem. The other thing you may not have thought about is when you are closed for bank holidays or Christmas etc you do not want a system to disarm when you are not going to be there.
  20. QFA meter to see if you have 12vdc
  21. try setting it and unsettling it again
  22. Just to add if you have a service contract on the system, then you may be in breach of the contract
  23. there are no rules on any diy work if you are competent, its not like rewiring your house where it has to be certified
  24. Its not like the government havent published the RRO https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/regulatory-reform-fire-safety-order-2005-guidance-note-enforcement
