  1. No you can use system but not the app , atleast with hkc that is the case If it's what your saying with pyronix, must be more to it aswell , op blagger perhaps
  2. Basically get another installer , first year is free I think but you have to pay for this service , he will reset codes which is required if engineer access is not available Job done Or don't pay anything and leave it how it is
  3. Just loop each zone , and the tamper is it looped or you wired through the zones?
  4. Why do you have a cable pair and resistors connected in keypad?
  5. But it's not what he saying , now it seems you don't know how to wire contact? What's happens if you place resistor across keypad terminals? What happens if you connect cable remove contact and put resistor across pair going to keypad ? What's keypad say then , as then you can follow order of fault finding if you can't test cable directly or have a meter Unless it's something to do with how you have mapped the zones

  9. On a hijack note Customer of mine was burgled yesterday, forced entry smashed kitchen window to open opener , kitchen PIR triggered , burglar must have fell through window aswell, as he ran through house through front door without touching a thing , internal sounder is aloud lunatic so assume it bothered him Thing is the customer was glad he paid for the kitchen PIR to be fixed because they tried to DIY it a month ago , but decided what if it doesn't work They going for perimeter detection now on the rear I keep internal sounder full 20mins and external sometimes 10mins depending on where it is ,internal sounder is important more so than the external These days ,allot of burglaries are day time lunch time entries These guys had some cheap CCTV , woman walks to door with note pad , rings bell, signals no answer no one at home with her hands and guy with hoody and tracksuit walks over from somewhere jumps over fence Customer didn't realise rear cameras are not recording ,but that's maintenance issue on a DIY camera install...

  18. Nah I just lazy on labelling , first fix hardly ever label , I see some IT guys doing there second fix , swearing about the first fix with nothing labelled ,but none of them carry the probe they don't even know how to buzz them out ,although if you have 100cat5 and looking for only one it will take them some time without a tone tester
  19. As a house basher I use it often , even the odd commercial job that I don't bother labelling I need it lol
