  2. Why not let him supply the door contact and pay his price ,instead of trying to supply your own Many walk once customer wants to supply equipment
  3. Just installed? Ask the engineer who put it in to hand code over , at same time you sign up to say all warranty void and he no longer is responsible for system etc I suppose he wants more than your willing to pay to fit a door sensor?

  5. Good advice , start with basics of port forwarding first And cover your web cams incase the mods get your IP and want to take a look
  6. You need to port forward on the router do you know how to do this ? In basic terms Access router go to firewall or port redirection or whatever it is called on your router Port forward the http port and the rtsp port to the ip of your recorder , in Samsung if it shows you one number then that is the one your forward if it is a range like 554-558 , then 558 is the one you would use to connect to it in the app But a range of 554-558 is also forwarded to the DVR if needed Or something like that What router you got

  8. No time to waste just get better gear with varifocal lenses so you can adjust as needed
  9. Complete kit might not include cables to that distance unless your getting premade cables of a long length and have worked that one out Are they all varifocal cameras ? Otherwise fixed lens won't give you a close up of the car , although 5mp on zoom is quite good evening when playing back

  11. What you mean simple solid alarm? So insurer has insisted? You have an alarm ? Then did they give a spec? Why not get an alarm company in? Ask them , you will have to get quotes from them to meet whatever insurance spec you have been given and won't make difference what anyone says here

  13. Forget that total waste of time Annke Swamn Maplins.... Screwfix.... All will give you trouble , at least with hikvision it's based around the pro-diy gear and now they have DIY gear , I say that because that's what there game plan was before But it's still worth getting it fitted just to remind you of that lol
  14. Where you mount the car camera you may need two One giving a wide view and another giving a close up
