  2. Started by Sirtoddius,

Just a quick hello to the community. I am a service/install engineer for a company based mainly in essex and London. Most of my work is in nhs/mental health hospitals and council buildings. Been doing it for 12 years and genuinely enjoy working in the industry. My company are rather stingy when it comes to paying for training so I'm constantly trying to learn and better myself and have self funded several courses to give me a better knowledge base.

Hi all, Thought I'd join this forum as I've been working in alarms for 3 years, I'm 24 years old and have a good understanding of pricing/ installations and system faults. I was an installation engineer for a year, then a service and breakdown for the next two. My favourite alarm panel is Texecom (Premier and Veritas) During the time of being a breakdown engineer I learnt Menviers, Honeywell (Galant and Galaxy), Aritech, Scantronic and Ademco. I also doddled in CCTV and door access. I now work as a resolve technician, giving help over the phone and sending the call out engineer if an attendance is required.

Now back with a local firm and glad to be getting back on the tools. Main strong point for me is Galaxy, looking to learn more on fire Michael!

Hi everyone. I'll introduce my self I'm Daniel and I run a Electrical installation company as a two man band. Plus a subcontractor who helps me out when im too busy. I am NIC EIC APPROVED CONTRACTOR and been in business since 2010. I have fitted different security alarms over the years. But I'm not confident enough navigating through them if I have been to my own panel for a long time. Wish I stuck to one panel every time so it would be easier for me to master it. I put in two panels a year because I don't advertise it. I think the panels I use are a bit too basic and lack features. (Micky Mouse comes to mind) I've fitted the following so in order as the years have …

Hi all I'm a new member of this forum. I have been working in the fire alarm industry for 21 years. I set up my own company 4 years ago and have expanded the company doing intruder, cctv and access control systems. We have applied for SSAIB certification and we are waiting for our assessment visit. I have had 20 years experience working mainly with Gent fire alarm systems so if you have any questions I will try my best to help you out. Thanks Peter
