Hello gentleman, i have joined this forum as I need assistance in doing something. To tell you guys a bit about myself, I'm an electrician, been in the trade for about ten years and work mainly in London and Berkshire. I mainly do electrics and plumbing, haven't done much security alarm installs, just a bit over the years. I have a particular question about an alarm install I am trying to do. Will start a new topic for that as this is just to say HI. New topic will be entitled 'ion 40 help with installation'. Good day to you all.

hi , i have recently left a company called prosec fire and security ws6 1sl. i was employed on a 4 month trial contract and very quickly i was offered a new contract, but after a few months i realized what sort of company they are. i worked out my 4 month contract and did nothing to break the terms of that contract, then left. as expected my wages have not been paid to me and i am going to go to acas, does anyone know or has anyone else had any problems with these cowboys. many thanks from a good honest engineer.

Hi guys I'm new to the forum. A bit about me I'm just coming to the end of my electrical apprenticeship i have my AM2 in october. I have a keen interest in alarms and cctv systems but don't really do much with them on a day to day basis. I have installed a few of the Visonic wireless alarms i think they are great. My next step is CCTV Any help or guidance along the way will be appreciated. Jamie

Hi guys I have a Varitas R8 and am attempting to wire an autodailer to the system ive wired it as v+ and v- to the communicator output on the main panel and linked v+ to contact 3 on the dailer but when i test to see if it calls out on activation I can't seem to get it to work. But when you set the system it calls out. Also I didn't know if it was best to connect the 3 to the bell output from the main panel as it does say R8 is a v- switch. Helllllp its doing my nut in. How should it be wired?

Hi everyone. Ive just decided to start up on my own after working for companies for 20 years, ADT , Romec, Balfour Beaty to name a few. I wondered if anyone had any advice whatever it might me on the best way to accumulate business. I am sub contracting at the moment on new builds in the North west which is great, But need other avenues. Any advice will be welcome. Thanks Kenny

Hi Guys Just want to post to say hello to old friends and new ones, I've been away from forums for a while but getting back in the saddle. I've been in the industry for 27 long hard years now ;-). Working as a Project Manager for a integrator in Gloucestershire playing with Lenel, Pro-Watch, DVTel, Milestone etc...
