Hi guys I am brand new on the forum so treat me kindly I have been in the security business for the last 3 years. For wired alarms my colleague and I generally struggle for support. We generally install the ADE Honey Wired Alarm with Accenta G4 panel. A customer asked us when the lock/unlock the keypad volume is not very audible so we started to look into an extension speaker. Honeywell told us Sonit1 and we tried to connect it but I panel blew up So please anyone can explain how to integrate the Sonit1 speaker to the alarm. Or if you know any other good product that you can recommend. Will we be connecting the speaker to the panel or to the keypad. Please …

Hello Everybody, I'm new here as i'm about to leave the the H M Forces after 22 years service (Arghhh) Lol. Well i'm after advice; i've booked myself into TAVCOM to complete the following courses: CCTV Practical Intruder Alarms Access Control IP Security Fire Alarms Now i've been told by Electrical Training Providers that i should do an Electrical Installers/Electricians course first; however TAVCOM/some people are saying its complete '********' so i've joined this Forum to speak to actual engineers and find the truth???? Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciative Durry

  13. Started by Skiprat,

Hello all, I am new to this site so thought I'd introduce myself and ask a question at the same time. I have looked at a friends alarm system as it requires a new ell box. When I took the cable out of the old box it was only 4 core and the new Pyronix bell box requires an extra cable. Can I just use existing 4 core cable and just not connect the strobe?? Will this work?? Many thanks in anticipation.
