Went thru prog`s no entry attribute. Just checked old manual, no option for access zones for enrty on part set. Old m8, dont want to stitch him for a new panel but it seems i have no choice. Any funky ideas out there?

Since the post over in the overmoderation section is getting quite OT, I figured I would post one over here so the panels can be brought up with capabilities, as well as the photographic fluff. I'm not going to go through the whole trade specs and install manuals, but I thought that it'd be a nice thing to compare equipment, without pissing about specs, class, and all of the BS that seems to make up the British Standards. Here goes: I'm an installer doing some sub work (excellent $) overseas in NZ, but I am from the US. I've installed: Ademco (US) DSC DS ITI/GE Elk Moose/Aritech Napco Radionics/Bosch Firelite EST DMP DTI Focus (Ademco) Scantronic (US/UK) …

My boss's alarm was installed a long time a go by me when I was a nipper. We need to add a new zone for the extension he is having, but have long lost the engineer code TBH, it was the first alarm I had ever installed, but I did non the less change the eng code To what is the question! I can factory restart the newer style veritas panels with no problems, but the procedure doesn't work for the older ones, and the older manual doesn't make any reference to factory restarting. Anyone offer some advice, or do I just fit a new panel...?

14000 lines of that at the ARC receiver since yesterday evening.. any idea what may cause that and why isn't oneliner enough.. it is programmed so that KP2 controls directly SG1 which is associated with Area1 (Office) KP1 controls SG3 which is associated with Area3 Also KP1 is programmed to Both Areas 2 and 3 (due to e/e beeps) SG2 is associated to Area2 which is common area (garage) Idea is that if office is unset then also garage will be unset if garage will be unset, only garage will be unset access codes are properly set to SG1 and/or SG3 only..

Tried a karizma yeas ago and glad when i ripped it out. Took a job over from Mono a month ago with a karizma installed, easy i thought! Fit a C-C. ID straight swap. How wrong was i, spurious circuits and always different, seven F/A to date. Tech advice is do this and that. ACT said fit this and solder that, even recommended wrapping biscuits in tin foil (biscuits in tin foil) anyway today i ripped the **** out. Wait and see shall we. Tips for ID 1/ use screened cable 2/ all spare cores to ground 3/ wire all detectors to seperate PSU 4/ Never use D/tec a good PIR is better 5/ no more than 10 No. ID per line 6/ always solder biscuits to cable before term 7/ Oh foge…

2 things found over the last few days... PREMIER 24 Has anyone else experienced this?..... 1. Glass fuses have been replaced with 'auto thermal fuses' on the 24 PCB, (I'm sure theres a proper technical name for em lol). A good idea in principal as it's always a pain trying to find the correct fuse in poor light, especially when on callout during the early hours and the intelligence is waning somewhat during the small hours. Bad news when the very first one we fit comes up with 'Aux Fuse Blown' on the rkp at random times yet the system is working fine and total power consumption in alarm doesn't exceed 600mA. Hopefully, a glitch on our part but not being able to phys…
