Had quite a few Castle Care-tech Euro-Meridians with a Digi-fail on the main panel recently. Bascally means that the modem has been unable to connect to the ARC. This requires a customer code to silence. When going through the logs on these panels, I have noticed a number of line failures - each of 2 seconds duration, and approximately 8 days apart. Always between 2100 and 0300 hrs. On one panel, BT have admitted a fault and corrected it, which has resolved the issue, but on the others, BT deny any fault and want to charge the customer to investigate. Anyone else come across this?

Georg in trouble.. How to program Gardtec593 digicom to make a call to prive line/ mobile phone? Any suggested method to do that? I am using 593 first time (before i have been using DSC585 for small installationd and used comms format 06 (private line)).. Digicom just makes a call after call. Naturally because it cannot get Handshake + ACK. Is there possibility to make those signals by DTMF or how should I program it?

Since Add8 asked for: "Excuse my ignorance, whats better filtering? Only asking as I've got some issues on a G/T ID system we took over recently that keeps F/A ing, and checks out ok on Technicals troubleshooting guide. Anyone want to PM me with ID info / known prob's or even kick a topic into the Trade Forums for discussion? This post has been edited by Add8: Oct 12 2004, 09:40 PM " The maximum cable distance is 100mt from the ID card. This one you run with alarm cable. With the G/T panels you can mount the ID card 500mt away from the panel using screened bellden cable (Belden Cable type 8723 AFAA 22 AWG (7/0.25mm T/C) 4 Wire (2 Pair) LSF Sheathed). Then you have 1…

Does anyone have a good idea for setting/unsetting the alarm when there is plenty of workers who don't know if they are last to leave or first to come. I have used FIRST IN LAST OUT option in the control panel. This means that everybody uses his/her code + adequate button to tell the control panel when entering or leaving. CPU the sets/unsets alarms regarding accesslevels (partitions the user has access to). Keypad filter can be used so that even if user has access to all partitions, that keypad allows only to disarm partitions spesified for that keypad. Anything like this in UK - markets? Any Accesscontrol that could do this with a reader pair?
