Hi All Can anyone tell me how to reset defaults on the eurosec cp8l if the old engineer code started with a 9 ? I did try powering down the re-powering and entering 147-no. This reset the user code but not the engineer code. This panel was taken out on an upgrade and seems a shame to bin it when i could install it for a mate and get some free beer ) Matt

Ive got a call out to go to tomorrow. It a take over, gardtec 816 version 2.4, and its locked. Instead of changing the NVM to unlock it, does anyone know of another way because there's quite a lot of zones used and its going to be a chew on to re-program. Also, just for reference, someone on here mentioned unlocking a Gardtec 581 ages ago. How's that done?

Hi. Been to a system today (takeover) that has a Guardall Rascal control panel fitted and we have been getting intermittant (the best kind) tamper faults on it. I've metered all the tamper pairs out (including the SAB tamper) and all the values seem fine. Checked all lids on the detectors etc. The only other things it could be is the bell tamper (fairly new Novagard 2G) or panel lid tamper, which seems funny to have just come up all of a sudden out of nowhere? Also checked the battery capacity, voltage and panel charging voltage which were all OK. Any ideas?

Ok, got a factory to do over, the owner has two entrances, one for the offices and the other for the workshop. What he wants is for the lads to come in the workshop in the morning early and deactivate the alarm covering the workshop but eave the offices on. Same the other way round, he would ike to be abe to come in at the weekend and do something in the office whilst leaving the workshop active. Set a couple of groups up I think... no problem. What I want to know is, using G-TAGS instead of codes, are they able to set/unset a group by JUST using the tags as opposed to using the tag and then having to key in something?

Can anyone tell me if the pcb's are still available for a castle care tech 1600? i used to work for an intruder company a few years ago who used castle but i have lost my contacts, been to a customer tonight who had a system installed by hi-tec alarms? and the pcb tamper switch is dodgy and keeps triggering alarm, i have managed to clamp it down with some wire for now but obviously going to need to get it sorted properly. If the pcb is no longer available, is it easy to replace the tamper switch or solder it out on the pcb until they get round to being able to spend some pennies on an upgrade

Ts690 v Ts590 the new(ish) 590 seems very similar to the 690. If anyone has times, can they list the 'missing' bits on the 590 I have first fix a property as per 690, and am told all the wiring is the same (two zones from pad etc). any info would be great.

Received a letter from Risco (Gardtec) today re conformity to PD6662:2004. The letter states that 'if you are offered an alarm panel that is suitable for PD6662:2004 systems the probability is that compliance is not complete'. Anyone out there using a panel that meets or claims to meet PD6662:2004?

Right, called out due to lock out light wouldn't clear after 2 day power cut. Found light to be half brightness, which according to the manual is Watchdog failure. Went through the motions of reinitialising but it would not clear. I assume this means the panel is shot? Or does anyone know differently.

Quick question for the Premier experts, (Monteey ). Just fitted a Premier 48 today and one thing's temporarily got me stumped. Not all of the system's wired up yet as most of the detectors are coming from another property so I haven't gone through and linked all the zones out, just set them as not used.. Chime doesn't work, is this because of the unconnected zones or have I missed someting obvious? Ta muchly.
