I'm Clint, I've been 'sort of' involved with CCTV for a few years now, (alright, make me feel old, the first system I repaired, installed and maintained was a Philips that used VHF and power over COAX 20+ years ago) and I've installed a few systems based on GeoVision cards for a few local places in the past few years, although it's not my main income I'm considering adding it to my business and promoting it. The reason for joining the forum is to learn and possibly help others (Network engineer, firewall configuration, VPN, remote access etc..)

  4. Hi Folks, Nick here from Stoke, Staffs. I am looking for some help, have been doing Sales for 15 years but after a lifestyle change and looking to get into CCTV/Fire Installation. Have some minor experience installing small camera systems and about 8 years ago worked at British Sugar in Telford and run all cables for Access/ cam/ IR/ into new control room. I understand this would effectively be a trainee position but not afraid of hard work and willing to get stuck in If anyone knows of any vacancies or can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful

Hi. I found this site using good old Google & wonder if anyone can help me. We recently moved into a house with a wired in burgular system - a C&K Securitech. Unfortunately there is no model number etc I can see anywhere? I could post a picture if it helped? The previous owners are unreachable & we do not have the code to use it!! It seems to work as when you switch off the mains or try to open the box in the airing cupboard it goes off - anti-tamper?? We just have PIR's on the system. Can anyone help? .

Hello, Might be hanging around here a bit more often so thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a network administrator by trade, installing various networks and servers to companies of different sizes. For anyone who is that fed-up/nerdy/perverted/interested - these days it tends to be a combination of Windows Server and RedHat Enterprise. As is often the way of a computer guy in a mid-size company, I get dragged into all jobs to do with anything electrical (sparky certified) and have successfully installed several seperate alarm, CCTV and access control systems at several locations. Hey it's all just more pretty wires eh Also help run a few clubs outside of work that I'…
