Might be hanging around here a bit more often so thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm a network administrator by trade, installing various networks and servers to companies of different sizes.

For anyone who is that fed-up/nerdy/perverted/interested - these days it tends to be a combination of Windows Server and RedHat Enterprise.

As is often the way of a computer guy in a mid-size company, I get dragged into all jobs to do with anything electrical (sparky certified) and have successfully installed several seperate alarm, CCTV and access control systems at several locations. Hey it's all just more pretty wires eh

Also help run a few clubs outside of work that I've setup kit at, so although I'm not excatly "trade" on the security side of things, I have done my fair share.

Most of all it's something that interests me, so always willing to learn!

If anyone has any networking issues feel free to throw em my way, no doubt I'll be throwing plenty your way from the more specific security side of things.

Yeah, my neighbour has just fitted one of them battery powered wire-free alarms on his shed. He wants to know when he can apply for trade access aswell.

he can apply but unless he can prove it it will be rejected

easy to apply but hard to get in e.g.
