Roller Shutter 1 Or 2 Contacts?

Recommended Posts

I hate RSD contacts they fail far to often for my liking.

We have started fitting 2 x Guardall DT 15+ at each side of the shutter (with the mask connected as we only fit G3 Galaxy on monitored jobs)

Our Fa rate is very low and we dont get stupid callouts to rotten RSD contacts.

Even if the job is G2 we connect the mask on 99.9% of the detectors.

KP do plaggy spacers to lift G3's of metal surfaces, I wonder in 5mm of plaggy would help prolong the life of RSC which oftend sit in the wet ?

Many, many years ago I had a friend who worked for a company called Magnetic Shields.

He used to give me 'off cuts' of one of their magnetic shields, they were like pieces of soft black cardboard about 4 or 5mm thick.

I used to cut it to fit the size/shape of the magnet to be fitted and used that as the spacer, absolutely no problems, even the heaviest magnet would not 'stick' to the most solid metal door.

Wish I still had access to this.

Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.

sorry, which panel, what grade etc .......... and any chance of a drawing how you intend to do it?

Just spotted this and whilst I'm sure this has been resolved by now  :teehee:   our F10CMULTI (G2) is suitable to be wired two to a zone, as is our YF10C (G3).  Sections of wiring diagrams below (full diagrams available for download at the links):
